Hello. I ordered a IR sensor yesterday and I simply don't need it anymore. I'd like to see if I can cancel it before it ships.

You can ONLY cancel for 1 hour after bidding. After that, email the seller and ask if they will cancel. Tell him to deduct the fees and send you the rest. Otherwise, this item is yours. You have a spare or you have an item to list or to give away. When I started on ebay, I had to get a 2nd selling account to sell all of the mistakes that I did bidding on the first account. I never stiffed a seller. I never tried to weasel out of a deal. So now, I have 2 selling accounts on ebay. Make sure that you truly need/want an item before bidding/buying.

To clarify, you can request a cancellation within an hour, the buyer can't actually cancel the transaction unless the seller agrees.
This is a public discussion board so your seller is unlikely to see your request. You can send your seller a message requesting a cancellation. It is up to them whether they will cancel.
