Refund with PayPal

I sold an item that got lost in the mail.  I filed a report with USPS but no resolution.  I gave the buyer a refund using PayPal and now e-bay keeps telling me to refund the buyer or they will issue a refund using my bank account.  How do I let e-bay know the buyer has been refunded?

You should have refunded through the Ebay case.

If you just refunded through Pay Pal, you might be out of luck.

Try contacting CS and let them know that the buyer was refunded through Pay Pal.

You'll probably receive a defect for getting Ebay involved.

Ask your buyer to click "Close this request" on their side, at the very far bottom right corner on their Return Details page.

 

If you ask eBay to step in @bur_c53 the bot will likely force a full refund from you, no return of the missing item needed, and close the case.
