I sold a vintage pant suit. The item had a repair on the sleeve, which was clearly listed in the description and pictured. I did not have measurements in the listing, however sizing listed correctly matches the sizing label. Buyer did not ask any questions before making an offer which was accepted. We do not accept returns. Now the buyer has opened an item defective or not working return. The buyers reasoning in return is "Sleeves are short, and she feels repair is worse in person" This is nuts! It is defective and was clearly listed. Will ebay let them get away with this? Will they be able to leave me negative if I don't accept return?

Yeppers. 'No Returns' and no refunds are two different animals entirely. I'd advise approving the Return. Darn it.

I did talk to Ebay rep this morning just to find out back action and she said there was nothing she could do until the 8th but in her opinion it looked like the buyer purchased before reading the description. she advised me to report the buyer for policy abuse

REPORT but it won't change the outcome.
You have one of two choices.
1. Accept the return and furnish a return label, and refund when it's been returned.
Or 2. Refund and let them keep it.
If eBay steps in they refund and will tell the buyer they don't have to return it. And you get a defect for having a case unresolved by the seller.
AfTER you resolve the problem then you report the buyer for abusing the returns process. Ask them to at least make the buyer pay for the return label. eBay won't do that but sometimes they'll give you as a courtesy credit for the return label charge.
