Refund Deduction Not Working but Solved

My last six returns were for stupid reasons. When I get the items back they are exactly as I sent them. Despite thinking the reason is disgusting I issue a full refund. Its part of the price I pay to be able to deduct for real abuse. While “didn’t like it” and “found better price” ARE abusive to small businesses they don’t count for purposes of deduction. I offered those options and I must honor what I offered.

So six full refunds recently that theoretically wouldn’t have happened if I offered no returns. I paid my due. I held up my end of the bargain with ebay.

I had an abusive return today I needed to deduct. First one in nearly two months so I gotta give them credit for turning the abuse down. It wouldn’t let me deduct. It grays out all the boxes and fields and disables the next button as soon as I type something in the amount box.

Being narcissistic I thought it was a sanction on my account or something. I thought they disabled my options and nobody else's. Of course that train of thought is wrong like it usually is.

They are messing around with the returns system at the moment. If you are having problems deducting try to click the different options in a different sequence. On the pages for return process there are two links to the same thing. Try them both. There was a specific order of operations that finally didn’t disable the next button.

I didn’t click the “report a problem” rather “refund buyer” then I clicked report a problem on the next page. I uploaded photo first. I checked the appropriate box. Pasted in my message i was long sick of typing over and over. Then put in the amount. That was the only sequence that worked.

For everything that happens conditions exist such that nothing else could have happened.
