bought something, thought it was local pickup or shipped. Turns out to be only local pickup. I am 1500 miles away.
I guess my next move is to cancel. If they refuse to cancel, what is my next move?

@mdou8327 Buyers cannot cancel a transaction, unless it is within an hour or so. All you can do is message the seller and explain your error. Seller can then cancel the transaction as problem with buyer's address. Seller will only be out the .30 cents for the listing, so hopefully they will cooperate. Stay on the seller's good side and apologize for your mistake. They have the upper hand at the moment.
If seller refuses to cancel you have other alternatives but best to just move forward with this request. Most likely this will end it quickly. Best of luck to you....

Your next step is to promise to never ever bid again without carefully reading the description. It's up to the seller to cancel. He might also wait the 4 days to give you an unpaid strike. If he gives it to you, there is NOTHING that you can do. In a year, it will come off your record. One unpaid strike a year will not harm a buyer. A few can keep you from bidding on sellers that have a block on bidders with a few unpaid strikes.
