Some shoes I sold apparently has some stitching that came loose. Shoes may be repairable, but don't know if going that route is worth it. Customer sent pm with pics and asked to return them and refund. Buyer hasn't filed for a return case. (I have every intention of refunding, incl shipping, regardless)
I rarely get returns. With scammers I know what to do...but buyer was actually nice!
Thinking of just skipping the return and refunding. If I do that, doesn't eBay keep all my selling fees?
If I ask them to file a return, I would imagine he'd choose INAD since they were defective. Is an INAD return worse on my metrics than a regular customer return request? What happens with seller fees in this case?
Thank for the help

You get your selling fees back if you refund. eBay does not ding you if you refund. If you see the shoes do have an issue, I would just refund. Not worth it to ship them back, repair and hope the next sale goes well.
