Online accounts and returns- is it safe?

is it safe to buy an online account? Also some have asked me to do local pickup then send code to complete and then send, can someone just do that and not send me the login details to the account? Can I get a refund if that happens? Does ebay support listen or help with that? Thanks

I don't know just what type of account your asking about.  However, most can't be sold and would be deactivated.  Yes the seller could scam you too.  eBay does not cover most items like that.  I suggest you not try to purchase an account but rather open one yourself.

If you post the listing number or link, we can review it for red flags @hocker19 . What type of account? If it's a gaming account, it's not legal for the seller to sell them. If it's software it's probably not legit. Hard to say what's going on without seeing the listing and/or knowing what type of account it is.

They don't own the account and they don't have the rights to sell it.

If they are selling something they don't own, or have the rights to sell, that should tell you something.

The seller does not own or have the legal right to sell it @hocker19 . If you make the purchase you may find, after eBay's claim window closes, that the game manufacturer locks you out of the account.
