Need instructions for returning recently received face masks, as each contains the same unacceptable odor.

On your Purchases page @gerni72 click Return this item, then select the Not as described reason for your return.
If you still don't have a refund or a prepaid return label after 3 business days, come back to click Ask eBay to step in this, to get help.

@bebe-1153 that is not correct.
We need to go by what Trinton @eBay says about smells. A poster bought a "smelly" bag she had no intention of keeping. Trinton said they don't cover smells unless you buy perfume and it doesn't smell like the scent.
Apparently odors good bad musty or whatever aren't covered.
You should be telling them the policy or if the seller accepts buyer remorse returns return itxswying you changed yourcmind, didn't like the smell.

I must have made a typo in the link. Find the post by typing State when your item smells in the all content search box at the top of the page.

Guessing velvet@ebay jasmen@ebay that strapping a handbag or a shoe across one's nose is not the same as a healthcare device?

Hey @bebe-1153! What Trinton noted long ago is still accurate and smells aren't covered outside of smoke. If the seller offers a return policy though, the OP could still go through that process.

Many of us now know what a face mask placed right up against our nose (shouldn't) smell like.
You're buying from individual sellers @gerni72 whether a person or a business, so if it is apparent that a personal item such as a face mask
- was not stored appropriately, e.g. in a bathroom like some salons store supplies, in the trunk of a car, or
- the sealed covering opened, which allowed odors to seep inside, during transit
and the eBay seller won't take a return,
- file a return here at PayPal if that's how you paid,
- otherwise, file a chargeback with you card issuer, to get your refund.

Just to clarify here...
Are you saying ebay will intervene in an INAD return request and prevent the buyer from returning an item if they said they are returning because it smells bad?
