I bought a container home and I received a very small box instead of my home today

Hi everybody, I got ripped off today. And I am not super familiar with eBay but the seller of the container home I bought put a 2-month delivery date on it. He gave me a tracking number and when I translated it from Chinese to English it was about a small package going on an aircraft for delivery to me. EBay won't let me do anything till September 11th. I don't know what to do.

What do you mean, a container home?

Does tracking show  it was delivered?

If you don't receive what you ordered, use the MBG.

Go to your purchase history and click return item and select, the item doesn't match the description as the reason.
The seller will have 3 days to accept the return and pay return shipping or refund without returning.
If they don't, return to the case on day 4 and ask Ebay to step in.

Just to be clear -- the item which you had ordered has not yet been received, right?

But, if you have received it, open a "not as described" case against the seller -- and don't wait until September 11.

However -- if you have NOT yet received the item, you will need to wait until September 12 to open a "not as described" case.

Do NOT open an "item not received" case!!!  Some sellers will try to trick buyers into opening "item not received" cases, by sending something entirely different , and then relying upon the "delivery" confirmation to prove that "something" was actually delivered.

But be prepared for disappointment -- returns to China can be loaded with unexpected problems.

I would be somewhat reluctant to order a "container home" from a seller on eBay.

Thanks for the help and suggestions. Evidently the problem is that I received a small box today, when I try to fill out I didn't receive what I ordered the seller has until September 11th. So eBay thinks I have to wait till September 11th with this little box in my hand until I can tell them that I didn't get what I ordered. I hope that makes sense. What I will do is get a hold of my bank and try to get my money back.

Check your purchase history and see if it shows delivered.

EBay does not show it as delivered, but the shipping company has it delivered.

I asked the seller after I translated the shipping information from Chinese to English of why my container supposedly was on an aircraft. He said that it's the paperwork going to the port. So he must have lied because of this little box is not the paperwork going to the port. And this little box has the eBay item number on it.

Much less from China, can you imagine the shipping cost. A 40' cntr shipping from China to the US cost at least $4000 in ocean freight alone.

If the package has the tracking number that's in your purchase history, wait for the Ebay system to update.

It doesn't always update in real time.

I would wait a little bit before opening a case with your bank.

Once you do that, Ebay will not help.

I second this. File an item not as described claim and have the seller refund you, this will put a strike against them. Separately, could you post a link on the item purchased. Will like to take a look at it.

Do NOT file for "item not received". I repeat, do NOT file for "item not received". You need to file for "not as described" because you DID receive something.
