I purchased an item on December 28 - it was NOT what was originally advertised - I told the seller I would return the item for a refund - he offered me a little more than half of what I originally paid and I refused. The package was sent on January 27- after a month of nonsense.
E-bay intervened and issued a full refund - seller asks me twice to remove my negative comments because he can't sell - but getting the lay of the land, he's doing just fine - so my comments stand.
TODAY, the package was returned to me for "INSUFFICIENT ADDRESS - RETURN TO SENDER" - I contacted the seller, but should I contact E-bay gods - I want it on the record that I DID SEND THE ITEM BACK as promised only to have it returned to me - hellish transaction - so thoughts, suggestions? Thanks

Have you read eBay's Money Back Guarantee for buyers? It is really quite good. The catch is that a buyer has to read it, understand it and use it in a timely manner.
When a buyer receives an item that's not as described, he has 30 days to open an NAD case with eBay. After opening the case, he waits 3 days for a response from the seller. No response, or an unsatisfactory one? He returns to the case and asks eBay to step in. The seller is required to send the buyer a prepaid return shipping label. When the seller receives the item back, he is required to refund in full.
Suggestion #1: You have been refunded. Do nothing else, but hold on to the package for awhile in case the seller figures this out. If the package was returned to him using the prepaid label, it's odd that it would be returned for insufficient address.
Suggestion #2: We have no idea why your FB was removed, can only guess. But you need to just let it go.

Since eBay had to step in for your refund for that item and it was returned to you because the seller didn't update their return addres, just toss it in the trash. The NAD return case is closed, you won. The end.

OP wrote "my comments stand" so where do we read your FB was removed, can you guess? Please read eBay's Money Back Guarantee for buyers, as it's quite good.

The OP said"E-bay intervened and issued a full refund"
Would'nt that imply that eBay's Money Back Guarantee for buyers was implemented by the OP?

There is nothing to handle, as eBay intervened and provided refund. For now, stop communicating with seller, this transaction is over with. Seller failed to amend his address, that's on him. As for item, do as you feel please.

Sorry, but I don't see it as being right for the buyer to have both the item and his refund even though it's not his fault that this happened this way.
I would suggest keeping the item for at least a little while. If the seller contacts him and wants it back, of course, that would be on the seller's dime.

Yeah, forget about it and move on.
The matter is closed in ebays eyes.
