How to handle this buyer wanting a return and falsely claiming NAD

This sale/return is regarding my very first item sold on Ebay. It is not going as I had hoped. The buyer is abusing Ebays money back guarantee by stating the item I shipped was NOT AS DESCRIBED. That is FALSE! There is no way that I as a new seller would start off engaging in fraudulent activity? The item I sold was EXACTLY as described! I also have more just like it and have offered a replacement even knowing this buyer is abusing the money back guarantee clause by making false accusations against me as a seller. This far he won’t respond. As a new seller the fraudulent activity by this buyer will in the end affect me. This is not how I intended my first sell on Ebay to go. I do not wish to refund to this buyer based on the false accusations he is making. As a seller I feel I should be protected in some way by these types of accusations. I realize now I AM NOT! I did everything according to Ebays policies and guidelines. I shipped fast. I packaged great to avoid any damage. Only to have my very first buyer make false accusations. I choose to let this be my final sale on Ebay. I do not want to be here. This is not a platform I would ever sell on again. I took a dive in after years here and finally attempted to sell an item and the first buyer pulls this. The buyer made an offer of $250 on the item already listed at $335. I accepted the offer. The buyer then immediately messages me after I accept and tries to talk me down to $200. I reply that I can’t go that low. He says “you can’t or you don’t want to” - I didn’t engage with the remark and about 30 minutes later he paid the $250 plus taxes. I paid for shipping. I went the very next day and purchased all items needed to ship out my first ever sold item. I packaged it very well. He doesn’t claim any damage other than not as described - which again is FALSE! He’s intentionally abusing the money back guarantee in order to get a refund based off of false accusations against me.

I don’t care if I lose out completely! I don’t even care about the money. But I want to fight this tooth and nail all based off of principles. It’s just not right. I want to do what needs to be done in order to fight this in hopes of Ebay siding with me. That would be music to my ears.  I also know that’s a long shot. But I’m willing to take it. To ensure this goes as smoothly as something like this can go, what my next step if he doesn’t reply. I’ve responded to the return by sending a message four times now. I’ve gotten no reply. I have until the 11th of September I guess to respond, which I thought responding with a message got the ball rolling, but I’m hearing nothing from him. I WANT to fight this WIN OR LOSE! I could careless on how it affects me as a seller. As I stated. I WILL NEVER sell another item on this platform or any other for that matter. I don’t want the hassle of it. I’ve already reported him for abusing the Money Back Guarantee. Now I just want to know what I need to do as a seller if he doesn’t reply? And what do I need to do each step of the way to ensure he knows I’m fighting this tooth and nail.

I know. I get it. I’m just so mad that this happened on my very first sale. I was excited too. It’s very discouraging.

Believe me, we feel your pain, every seller in here does, and awful that you got a scammer on your very first sale.

Is this an experienced buyer? In that case, hope for the best, and expect the worst.

How to handle this buyer wanting a return and falsely claiming NAD

At this point I just want to ensure my money stays in my bank account. I’m SO NEW to this. I’m also an older guy who doesn’t understand all the ins and outs of this. Right now the funds are on hold. If I do the return is this money guaranteed to come from my bank? When will I get reimbursed! I’m so confused as to how this will play out. I’m also an over-thinker and am so anxious right now. Could you help me understand how this will play out by accepting the return and as to how the money will be taken, from my bank or those held funds, and if he doesn’t ship anything back? Right now it says funds available but also states on hold until return resolved. I’m trying to drive too while typing all this lol.

Be sure to provide him with a return label, then refund after return, or you wont get your item back.

Okay. Once I click they accept return, will it start the shipping label process? I read that eBay will send him one on my behalf but I could have read that wrong or misunderstood it? How do I even provide him one? I feel so stupid!

" Right now the funds are on hold. If I do the return is this money guaranteed to come from my bank?"

Those funds on hold will be removed after you get your item back. You cant receive payment for the item, and the item too.

welcome to the club of ebay supports buyers more than seller.  many people are figuring out how to take advantage of the system.   NAD  is how people can get their money back and a lot of time keep the item also when it costs too much to send back   next thing you know you have $20 or more in something only worth $10 because of shipping charges. today i got back a photoshop computer program guy says wouldn't make  a  slide show.   **bleep** and we all know he downloaded he program used the program key and said something was the matter with the program....NOT likely..  he got photoshop and his money back and it was a single use key so can't ever use it or sell to someone else...  they do it on amazon why not do it now on ebay.   its so easy.

How to handle this buyer wanting a return and falsely claiming NAD

I'm fairly new to selling on Ebay; I returned after a 15 year break. I had a return within the past month. I can't say it will happen this way, for sure -- but for me, the cost of the return label came from the funds on hold, and then when the item was returned, the refund also came from the funds that were on hold. I had more funds on hold than those added up to, so Ebay didn't dip into my bank account. I had expected that they might. (My item was only $10 plus shipping, which could possibly make a difference?)
