How long does a Cancellation take when the issue is "problem with buyers shipping address"

I never knew any type of cancel would take this long. On Jan 19th I had to cancel a a sale because I couldn't find the buyers shipping address to print a label. Its been 6 days now and when I click to refund the buyer all it says is cannot refund buyer since cancellation request is open. The buyer says there is nothing on their end they see that they have to "approve" or anything. Anyone know why these take so long and about how lone until they will get their money back and I can relist my item?

How did you cancel the sale? If you clicked on cancel in your sales history and used problem with address, the buyer would have been refunded at that time.  Did you get some sort of message when you cancelled.

If you couldn't see an address for the buyer, are you sure the buyer paid?
