Someone wants me to accept a return so that I can ship it to a different address.  she says that she will pay the shipping but then I'm out the money for the garment . She makes no sense. Are there buyers that are that stupid?

Yes, you can accept a return -- but do NOT ship it to another address.

If the buyer wants to ship it to another address, the buyer can do it on their own dime.

And, if the buyer wants to do a return, it sounds like the buyer would have to pay for the return shipping.

BUT -- only accept the return if the buyer officially opens up a return case.

Unless they open a case with eBay, I would ignore them. 
There is no reason they can’t mail it to whomever they want it sent to. 

Are you sure it is the actual buyer and not someone posing as the buyer.
