I contacted the seller and was told to start a return I tried that and got a refund but still need to return the item nothing on my return details gives any info except that I got a refund I am unable to get any help or response from ebay tried to get a call from them ---no response --no phone number to call them --no nothing seller is unable to help.I called pay pal for help ---nothing --any ideas on how to get ebay to help me would be appreciated-----

Chances are real good that the seller refunded without wanting the product returned.

They probably did not feel it was worth it to pay the return shipping.

Tell us what it was if you care to and we can possibly make more sense of the situation.

Your seller does not want it back. Since they would have to pay it's shipping they have chosen to just refund and let you keep it. It's common for sellers to just cut their losses and move on.

Once they issued the refund, the case was closed and you don't have to do anything else.

If you got a refund, it's a closed case. Bless you for going out of your way to try to return the item but it seems you did everything you can

Ask your seller if they want it back. If they do want it back, have them give you their address, then buy a shipping label from USPS or thru PayPal or go to the post office to buy postage and mail it back.

Sometimes a seller will refund first before item has been shipped back. In those cases, ebay assumes that the seller does not want the item back so doesn't allow them to provide a label through ebay. If they do want it back the seller will have to print a label through Pirateship.com with their address on it and then send it to you via pdf. If it can't be sent though messages you are allowed to give them your email address since you are in a transaction.

If you want to send it back to the seller just go ahead and do it. You don't need any help from the forum or ebay for that.

If the seller gave a refund (in error) prior to receiving the return, the buyer should NOT be the one to have to pay for return shipping. If the seller now wants it back, the seller should send a prepaid return shipping label.
