Help re. if a product is as specified

I bought a bulk lot of assorted skirts. In the pictures on the listing the skirts all have dainty patterns on them with elephants or complicated geometric patterns with multiple colors and lovely borders. The skirts I received have heavy blocky prints with none of the dainty complex patterns and pretty colors in the pictures on the listing. They are ugly. As the listing was for a 'wholesale lot', I knew I wouldn't get a choice of which patterns I got - but was I wrong to expect a similar level of appearance as the ones on the listing? Is there anyone I can consult that can help me with this? I'd like to return the items, but want to verify if I have grounds to do so before I spend money on postage. I wouldn't mind if it was just a few skirts that are horrible, but it's nine out of ten.  (I can't upload pictures as I don't have permission)

If the items you received were not what you saw in the photos -

 

This is the US .com forum so my answer is for the US site. Not sure if you have different policies.

Go to your purchase and request a return. 

Reason is "not as described" - The seller can then either send you a return shipping label or refund you.

 

Please read the eBay MBG. MBG gives buyers protection from purchases where they dont get what was shown in the listing.

Go to your order and in the dropdown, choose to return this item with the reason "not as pictured or described." In the description box, you can state that none of the items shown in the listing are the ones you received. 

 

The seller will have to either send a return shipping label for you to return them or they can issue a refund and let you keep the item. 

 

If 3 days pass without response from the seller, you can go back on day 4 and ask ebay to step in.
