Help me with my problem to refund.

I'm having trouble with seller, please help me to understand how i can get refund! I have purchased fishing rod shipping in Latvia, I have paid shipping costs for delivery from UK. Product received in horrible condition with three defect and totally damaged, its not possible to use it! I have contacted seller provided all pictures with defects! Seller agrees to make return. Following ebay rules seller suppose to pay for shipping back defective or damaged item. I have provided address information and time when shipping company can pick up item. BUT! Seller suppose to send shipping label to me, im trying to contact him during all week he ignores my messages and do not reply. The last message from him was that he don't ship products to Latvia, this is obviously deception. He is pretending that he was not able to send and sell item to Latvia. This situation inexcusable.

Contact customer service and explain that the seller is refusing to provide you with the label or send you money for return shipping.

Here in the states when a seller stalls on providing a return shipping label, the buyer has to contact eBay customer service. eBay will then grant a 5 day extension to the seller to send the return label or provide payment to the buyer to purchase the return label.

 

The sellers here have an option to select, "return label already sent".  That is what messes with the buyer because the buyer has not received a return label and it puts the return in limbo. Sellers know this and it just screws the buyer around and they have to contact eBay.

Perhaps this seller was unaware they were enrolled in the new international shipping in which case the seller wouldn't see or know a case is opened with the exception of a message from eBay.  The message should just say it's being handled by eBay...  Hard to say for sure..

This is simply why I refused to sell off shore, eBay has this NO option situation with off shore returns that a seller can only provide return funds to Paypal/GPay/Bank Deposit etc, as we are unable to provide label….. Problems:

  • Confused buyer does not trust giving seller PP/Bank info, so panics and escalates and seller loses item, refund forced, and defect received.
  • Savvy, naughty buyer happily gives PP/Bank info knowing full well that once funds are received they can keep item having forced a discount, seller loses $$$ shipping funds.

Being in Au, never had access to GSP (only way I would trust) and no new EIS system either.
