Got a persistent scammer. First Empty box scam. Now payment dispute.

Got my first received empty box scam and return request last week.
I was able to obtain a security footage photo from FedEx showing courier delivering heavy Amazon box and not the empty white box buyer claimed he received.
When presented with evidence, buyer closed the return the following night.
https://community.ebay.com/t5/Selling/Suggestion-on-handling-empty-box-scam/td-p/34804675/page/2

Now the buyer opened a payment dispute with his bank and eBay out my payments on hold. I was transferred to a local person in America when I called and she said it was simple case and it should be resolved in my favor since he opened a return and closed himself but don’t have a time line. I uploaded all the documents again but ……

What’s other sellers experience been on persistent scammers like this? And why doesn’t eBay ban someone like this immediately since the all the evidence is showing this is a scammer.

What type of dispute did the buyer open?
If its a doesn't recognize transaction...upload tracking showing delivery ..you will probably win

If it's an item not received..upload tracking showing delivery...you will probably win.
If its a not as described..those are hard to win.
I had a buyer a few years back who claimed they never received the audiobooks they purchased.

She opened a not received case on eBay...I uploaded tracking showing delivery and eBay found in my favor.
She then went through her credit card company and filed an item not received..again I uploaded tracking showing delivery...it took 3 months for her credit card company to find in my favor.
As for scammers...it would take an unknown amount of reports from other sellers to have a buyer NARUd.

He opened the same empty box received dispute with his bank.

All the evidence is there from FedEx. Even the box he claimed to have received doesn’t match or fit in the package I sent.

That’s what I don’t get from eBay. Ebay is fighting the dispute with this low life scammer but refuse to ban him despite the mountain of evidence and using the same evidence to fight with the bank.

Hi @shoryureppa354

I'm so sorry this happened.  Unfortunately, nobody can prove that a neighbor of the buyer didn't switch out an empty box for a heavy, Amazon box ... so eBay wouldn't ban someone based on the evidence you provided.

It was signed by the buyer.
There is video of FedEx driver carrying 10+ pound box in that specific GPS location.

The buyer won’t provide the photo of the label on the empty white box he supposedly received and signed for.

Like I said he closed the return when I provided the proof as he realized eBay won’t side with him. So he opened the case afterwards with his bank.

@shoryureppa354

You have enough evidence for YOU to know what happened ... and to put the buyer on your BBL.   I was explaining why eBay wouldn't ban a buyer based only on your evidence.

Some mail carriers are still signing packages for residents ... a practice started during the pandemic lockdown ... so having a signature no longer means what it used to.  ☹️
