Major flaw with GSP and returns-
Had a buyer from the UK buy a $300 Dyson fan. Started a return saying INAD. Reason "I have purchased an item from the USA and the voltage not the same Problem". Listing clearly stated fan is 120V and we also included a photo of the box showing voltage. We are top rated plus seller and have free returns on all items. Buyer makes a false claim for INAD and now we are required to take the return. Ebay rep says the only option is to ask buyer to ship item back at his cost and we can refund him via Paypal. Ebay rep says he knows no way to purchase a return label from the UK. Second ebay rep says sorry, it looks like there is nothing they can do. Emailed buyer to see if he would send item back and we will reimburse. He says ebay UK told him that was on us. Messaged ebay for business on facebook and their solution was: "You can use DHL International or USPS International- or any other that you choose. The way this is done is to purchase the label on their website with a return address to your address- and you can copy the label through a message or screenshot and send it over to the buyer. It is a bit of a pain, I am not going to sugarcoat that- but it can be done." There is no way to buy a label from the UK via USPS. The only option is to purchase a label from DHL. So you have to message the buyer for his address and phone number since you don't have it as it was shipped via GSP, then go to DHL website in the UK and do your best to figure out the customs forms. Once the label is bought and downloaded which is sent as a 7 page pdf due to all the forms, you have to print all 7 pages, scan them in and save them as photos. Then ebay messaging limits you to messaging 5 photos at a time so you have to split sending the return shipping info into 2 messages. What a joke! This is wrong!

The solution here is to ban bidders from overseas on items like this.
I won't sell to the UK at all as their post is just about useless, I got scammed once and no more.
Your only hope on this is the buyer is unable to figure out the return and doesn't send it. I'm sure they didn't even bother to look at the voltage or have a clue what was going on, they just said "ooooh, fan, I need" and hit the buy button.

They seriously think that Royal Mail in the UK will accept a USPS label? lol
I am guessing that it would be less expensive to use the postal service. You can ask the buyer to go to the Royal Mail site or go there yourself and figure out the cost for the return label. Then ask the buyer for their PP email and send the funds plus PP fees through goods and services. If they don't send the item back, you should be able to file a PP claim and unless they can show tracking to your address with delivery confirmation, you should win. I haven't heard of anyone filing a claim for that in a while but it has been done in the past so hopefully it is still an option.
To prevent this problem in the future, it would probably be best to take the gsp off of items that use North American voltage.
