Hello, how do I escalate a case with ebay?
A seller has been selling fake copyrighted items, who has been called out a number of times on this. I have returned the item, and can see it is being redelivered to me as the return address doesn't exist. There are at least 10 reports of this on his feedback and seems to have done a runner.
How do I get a full refund, as there seems to be no option for this?
Thanks

Ohhh I see who you are talking about. Now I would file a return reason as INAD (Item Not As Described) because you got a fraudulent product. When you select that return reason, the seller is forced to refund you or they face the wrath of ebay.
I would also report the listing to the manufacturer and then they can contact ebay to remove the listing (https://www.ebay.com/help/policies/listing-policies/selling-policies/intellectual-property-vero-prog...)

Thanks for the reply Panda. I reported this to ebay when I first received the item, and it was removed pretty quickly, but it seems many others have been caught out.
The item was returned as a INAD to begin with.
Since the seller has provided fake address details and it is being re-returned back to me, there just doesn't seem to be a way of getting ebay involved.

Noted that your case was INAD and you must have been supplied with a pre paid return label which you used to send the item.
I note that on track& trace website you can see that delivery for this has failed.
I would copy this notice and send seller a message showing this status.
I would then contact eBay through Help& contact and then contact us and in the chat with us put in speak to customer services and then have us call you and advise them your number to call you back.
Explain the situation to customer services/ resolution team who will read all messages including the one you just sent and I would expect them to close the case in your favour with a full refund.
When you package is returned back to you I would just keep this safe and in the unlikely event that your sellers asks for this to be returned then he can send you another label and after a few months just dispose of this.

What is the point in emailing a fraudulent seller who has done a runner and provided fake address details?
Help&Contact presents a useless series of options to me which help to resolve nothing.
No wonder ebay buyers are being targeted by fraudsters at this time. The support is very poor and confusing. This should be automated and easy. This is fraud we are talking about, people are being ripped off.
How do I contact an actual ebay person who can help[ escalate this case? If I have to go through my credit card issuer to resolve this, then ebay is declaring its customer support is not up to scratch.

Posts on this forum are responded to by your fellow buyers and sellers who share their long and hard earned experience on this forum.
Point of sending a message through eBay is that all messages between buyer and seller are visible to eBay's CS /escalation team and these provide them with information that results in them making a balanced decision.
You were advised of a way to contact an actual eBay CS team member and you have determined that this is useless and there is no other way to speak to a person at eBay.
Before suggesting contact us option I checked / went through the process in less than 20 seconds and was advised that waiting time for eBay to call back was 2 minutes and yes you get a call from an actual person.
If you think this service provided by eBay is difficult, not to your required standard or liking then you are entitled to your opinion and you don't have to use this as eBay's dispute system is automated and you wait for automated system to make a decision as only eBay's CS team can close cases before time.
Sadly there are some very dishonest sellers and buyers and this forum is full of horror stories of dishonest buyers who appear to be greater in numbers than sellers who commit fraud /steal from decent honest people who list on this platform. I don't believe there is one regular seller on eBay who has not been stole from by dishonest buyers.

Yet again, no straight answer. How do I contact someone or get the call back? I go to Help&contact, and it lists options that just direct me to entirely unrelated topics.

I would contact ebay through Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/eBayForBusiness/)
you can call ebay but the CS on the line is not good honestly. I had a better time using the chat

Okay so this seller you chose to purchase from has MULTIPLE NEGATIVES
Now you are outraged because you became another negative transaction.
Seller presently 54%
What made you expect this transaction to turn out well
You will not have to do anything else with that low of a feedback file seller will not be selling for very much longer.
Venting sellers is important for buyers check feedback and read the buyer feedback comments left
All that stated I am sorry you became victim to such a dishonest seller and wish you better luck in future

Please read my OP.

Looks like the "seller" pulled their listings. Nothing for sale.
You'll get your money back. It might be a lengthy process, but it'll either be from ebay or your credit card.

Your anger and frustration is reducing your patience and not allowing you to carry out this function.
I gave you method in my OP and this is how min 20 seconds I got to call us back.

Not necessary. When the re-returned item is delivered back to you @norsejohn eBay will issue your refund, even though the ZIP code is wrong.

Those negative feedbacks were given within the last month so you have no idea if they were there when the buyer made the purchase. This situation isn't the buyer's fault.
