I think I bought a fake watch. Getting an official authentication from the manufacturer takes an estimated six weeks, putting it outside of eBay’s 30 day window for returns. Is there any way of getting a provisional extension of this window until I’m able to get the watch verified?
Thank you!

There is no extension. You have 30 days from item receipt to file claim via eBay. After that, you can submit claim via your payment method. Credit cards and PayPal have 180 days, some longer.

No extentions are given:
You have 30 days from the date shown you revived the item to file a case with eBay.
Other wise as other has said you will need to go to your payment method for relief if the item is fake.
Got photos??
Might be worth getting an opinion on the boards...

" Extension of return window" refers to a situation where a seller or retailer allows customers to return a product for a longer period than the usual return policy. For example, if the standard return policy is 30 days, the seller might extend the return window to 60 or 90 days. This can be done as a gesture of goodwill or as a way to accommodate customers during unusual circumstances, such as during a pandemic or a natural disaster.

Let's hope this has been resolved by now since the original post is six months old.
