Hello everyone, I recently bought a Dyson Airwrap (its a hair styler) I intended it as a gift, the description said the item was genuine and unused, sealed. Before buying i sent a message to seller asking if the item was indeed genuine and unused/sealed and the seller did confirm that it was so.
I received an item and it not only was opened and tampered with, it did not turn on and it is counterfeit as well.
I sent a message to the seller about the return, seller tells me to open a request, which I can not because he/she does not accept returns. Then seller tells me ask return through paypal, which I also did not use. I also see one feedback from another person this month who also complains about their Dyson being fake.
I can not open any kind of request from chatbot either, I can not get in touch with anyone in ebay.
Any suggestions?

You can still open a return request even if the seller has a no return policy, as the eBay Money Back Guarantee covers you for this issue. Open one asap, choose the appropriate reason from the list (“Item Not As Described” may be the best choice, but I don’t know exactly which options will be offered to you), and the seller will not be able to decline the return and will be required to provide the return shipping label. They can choose to refund you through that return request without requiring you to send it back, which they should do in this case, but if they provide a label, send the item back to them.
There’s no need to contact anyone at eBay, nor would that help. Just go to your purchase history and open the return request immediately.

The eBay Money Back Guarantee overrides the ‘no returns’ policy. If one is going to buy or sell here, it is a necessity to understand, if, and how a buyer is protected.
Go back to the listing, find the money back guarantee banner and open a case for ‘item doesn’t match description’. Keep an eye on the case, it is time sensitive.

Thank you for the reply, only these options are available. And when I click return (same when chatbot offers me the request) is shows me this.
I have been ebay user for more than 8 years now, nothing like this has ever happened to me and I did not even notice that the item was not covered by money back guarantee.
Before I bought the item seller had 100% positive feedback and after I bought it someone else wrote that their dyson was fake.
Cant I do anything?

1. When did you receive this item?
2. What happens when you click on "Return this item"?

Have you clicked Return this item on the drop down menu you pictured?

I bought the item this month-December 1st and received it on December 8th.
When I click "return" this happens

That's an unusual message to me, but it may be that the item was listed in a category that isn't eligible for the MBG (probably improperly so). Do you have the item number or a link to the listing?
You said you did not use PayPal, or at least that's how I'm interpreting that, so hopefully you used a credit card to pay for it, in which case you can contact them for assistance.
