Buyer selected “item not as described” to return a exact match item

I sold a camera on eBay, with clear descriptions of the type and condition. The buyer purchased it, thought it’s another camera under the same brand.

The camera is delivered on the beginning of February, the buyer request a refund at 15/02/2025. Using the reason that I send a wrong product & product not as described.

I didn’t check messages until 26/02/2025, the refund has already been authorised by EBay, and the camera is already delivered to my place.

is there anything I can do? I can’t find a place to report the problem. Thank you.

No there is not.

You are in the UK and this is the US boards.

In the US any buyer can say "NAD" and return the item.

They do not have to have proof.

eBay 99.9% of the time sides with the buyer.

I think you are lucky you received the item back. Usually (in the US) if the seller doesnt respond to the request and eBay steps in, the buyer keeps the item, gets a refund and the seller gets a defect on their account.

Since you let eBay handle it, there is nothing to report.

@02faye-98,

Your listing title says "Ricoh GR II Digital ..." but the pictures clearly show a different model, a GR Digital. The item specifics say Ricoh GR, but the description says Ricoh GR II.

That listing was misleading, whichever model you were actually selling. The buyer's complaint is valid.
