Buyer returns for "not as described"

Im having a very hard time swallowing a pill that ebay is forcing me to swallow. Here is the situation. I posted a product for sale and described it as I saw fit.  A stage monitor speaker that was only used about a dozen times at most.  The buyer receives the speaker and files for a return and claims that the corners are worn down to bare wood, that there is damage caused be a liquid, and that the speaker sas covered in cat or dog hair. 

Now here is what is frustrating me, how can a buyer be granted a return like this without any proof of the issues they claim.

Thats a given, the buyer is required to return it. Thats why It cost me $180 in shipping costs. $90 each direction. There shoukd be a clause in the buying contract that requires both parties involved to provide photos of the item proving their case. Becauss when i received this item back there was no evidence of the wear that this buyer claimed.

You need to provide a return label to get your item back and the buyer will be refunded once you receive the item

@prepreston420 That is how online selling to strangers works. All a buyer has to say is it's not as described and they get to return the item at sellers expense. No a buyer doesn't have to prove the claim. This platform caters to all buyers in the hopes to keep their buying experience top notch with no hang-ups. If you want to continue to sell on here then you should read up on the TOS to find ways to make the system work on your side for next time. You can always come on this forum asking for advice when someone first opens a case. Luckily these instances are very few in comparison to the number of daily sales on this platform. When you sell on eBay, you have presumably read everything about how eBay works.

When a buyer opens an "item not as described" case, there is no eBay requirement that the buyer provide proof of his claim.  Everyone who sells here knows that and, by listing, signifies that he assumes the risk that the "item not as described" claim can be false.

Not to mention that a photo does not prove that something is non-functional.  That would require a video, wouldn't it? And how many people would eBay have to hire to evaluate the function of how many different items that they know nothing about?
