I sold a 10.1" tablet about 2 weeks ago, promptly (like always), I shipped the tablet out. It was brand new by the way, still factory sealed and all. It was delivered over 7 days ago. I awoke this morning to check my notifications, and low and behold; the buyer has initiated a return reqest claiming that I sent a 8" tablet, with a picture of a 8" tablet box clearly ripped open. I know for certain that I did not send him this. I've reported buyer, what should I do next? Thanks in advance!

If the buyer filed an INAD, accept the return and provide a return shipping label and refund the buyer when something is returned.
Wait to see what they return.

There's not much you can do; this becomes he said/she said situation. You can't prove that you actually did send the correct item so the platform will side with the buyer. This platform offers a money back guarantee to all buyers. Once the buyer selects Item Not As Described you will have to pay for the return shipping or eBay will deduct it from your account. Your best bet is to accept the return and issue the return label or you will also receive a defect on your selling account.
They may have broken their 8" and are replacing it for free with your 10". If you accepted returns you could have held back up to 50%. It happens; it's a part of selling online especially with electronics. Best of luck to you....

And when they send me a tablet worth half of what I sent them that's probably broken?

So I've sold hundreds of items in the past few.months with 0 problems, but I should take a possibly broken smaller tablet and the 100 dollar loss? SMH

You have no other options on this platform, they have a money back guarantee. There are millions on individual sales on any given day, the return system is all automated for this reason. No one will get involved, no one is looking at your past performance. You always have the right to take the buyer to small claims court. You have all their info and can file a case yourself. If you feel strongly then take them to court. Sometimes just filing the paperwork will be enough to scare the buyer and maybe they'll send you back the money. All you can do is try....

If you offer free returns on here and give them a free return shipping label, if they do NOT send back what you sent you are able to give them back only 50 percent of what they paid, That’ll teach them something really important here. Dont mess with those sellers who are kind enough to give you a free return. LOL!

YEP, and if you give em a free return shipping label, give em back half of what they paid.

OP doesn't accept returns so doesn't have option to keep any portion and must fully refund....

Usually these computer scamming folks are eyeballing new sellers who have not a clue about the risks of selling this stuff. We see these posts on here all the time with this stuff. Give them a free return and do the 50 percent off thing that you can do when you are able to use this extremely good deterrent on here crafted by Ebay.

Well maybe he can start now, by agreeing to it with this item.
