It's there in the title. This is ridiculous!
They closed my appeal immediately after I opened it. WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS COMPANY!
eBay messaged me to tell me that I was supposed to fill out an 'affidavit' which they NEVER SENT TO ME.

OK I'll bite.......Just how did the buyer admit to Ebay they sent the wrong item?

If you are asking how the buyer contacted eBay to tell them: I wouldn't know, as eBay of course did not disclose their method of contact.

Hope you didn't suffer a great loss, of course. Did the buyer return an item that you can resell?

It is a high-ticket item, unfortunately. It is unlikely that I can sell what they sent.
eBay is supposedly sending me a refund within a few days now. They finally figured out that they had never sent me the 'affidavit' to sign. It seems that it should be mandatory for someone to check on exactly that when an appeal is opened, but apparently they don't bother to follow such basic procedure. This is after they condescendingly told me that I should have been checking my messages more frequently to find this unsent affidavit. 🙄

I still don't get why you think the buyer admitted to Ebay they sent the wrong item back. It makes absolutely no sense that they would do that.

It is odd that you think that I would make up such a thing, and then state it as fact. eBay told me that they admitted it, of course.

It is odd @25kenwood that you don't realize eBay would make up such a thing and then state it as a fact, telling you the buyer admitted they sent the wrong item back so you'll go away sated, of course.

It's an automated process. As soon as the tracking says delivered, the refund is issued.

Here I am UN-sated, as any seller would be, and not going away. I don't understand how that would sate anyone. eBay not admitting that the buyer returned the wrong item would obviously make it easier on them.

I think what an-36344 was referring to is they tell you anything they think you want to hear to get you off of the phone.
