I ordered a $250 item from a Chinese seller who has over 10,000 positive reviews. The thing is, I didn't receive the right item (he sent the wrong one), and the seller hasn't responded to my message yet.
I'm worried because I just learned China is a rather special country regarding returning issues, and that Chinese sellers are used to shifting the responsibility onto the buyer. How should I go about it?
Thank you for your time

Open a case in the Resolution Center, link at the bottom of the page. Seller has 3 days to respond, ask ebay to step in on the 4th day if they haven't. They must send you a return label or the funds to return the item. Come back if you need more help.

And this is why you shouldn't buy from China.

Thank you, I'll see how it goes.

many ebayers would say you have already gone about it the wrong way
I do not hear of many sucess stories in returning an item to China and being made whole

Yeah I was stupid. Well, lesson learned.

Agree! 👍 buy local. Spend your money here in USA.

Open the item not received case, and if an option to escalate doesn't appear in a few days then to go eBay on Twitter or FaceBook and ask them to escalate for you.

Just open the Item Not Received and Ebay will help you to get your money back. Then try to buy other item from other seller.

Not only did you parrot another answer as you keep doing here on the boards @biled_92 it's also the wrong answer. OP already received the item, so an Item Not Received case is inappropriate. Please stop, thank you.
