Cross your fingers and hope that this new authentication team never return your items, because if the carrier loose your it, you will never get a refund or your item back, they will bounce you back and forth between the sender (Ebay Authentication team) and the carrier, wasting time and money.
This is what happened to us. We have been sellers on Ebay since Feb. 2002 (more than 21 years) and never experienced such irresponsible way with no regards to us (top selling customer with excellent buyer experiences) and our money.
The authentication team returned an item to us valued at $1300 and we never received our item back.
As a seller we ship an item to a buyer and it gets lost during the transit, we are responsible to reimburse the buyer, so why doesn't this apply to Ebay returning items as well?
Why doesn't Ebay's authentication team insure the items that they are returning so that we (the seller) can get a refund from the carrier in cases like this when the item gets lost?
Ebay still denied our claim even after Fedex provided documents stating that the item was misdelivered and unable to be retrieved.
All the proof you (EBAY) requested has been submitted and still denied several times without a reason (just respond......your claim has been denied)

Have you tried contacting Ebay via Facebook? They are often very helpful. When you go to Facebook, you will writing to ebay via MESSAGE (Messenger) so your conversation will be completely private. You will need to tell them your name, ebay name and item number. Have the information handy when you write.
