Yeah the search engine needs some serious fixing or eBay needs to give us options on how it works. I don't like the "anything goes mode" eBay has going right now. I have started bookmarking my most common searches. That is just a small example of what I have saved for my daily use. Buying is a pain when you have to jump through so many hoops to find what you want.

Last week I asked about using ebay shipping for labels and the emails created and sent to buyers. I felt like it was not addressed clearly or really understood and answered what I was asking or commenting on.
Just to review, I print out my labels the night before shipping and on weekends and holiday weekends, the day before the ship date. I have one day handling on this account. For items that shipped today, I printed the labels last night and this is what shows in my seller hub orders info
The problem is That information is wrong. I shipped June 17.
You also said that the email that goes out doesn't say the item shipped, just that the item was ready to ship.
It actually says "Hi, xxxxx,
your order is being shipped!
All I asked is WHY the ship date that you choose when printing the label can not be used as the ship date. Every single one of the labels I ship are labeled with the wrong ship date JUST BECAUSE I print the label the night before. And there is a reason why I don't wait until the morning to print.. If I have the option to adjust the date to the correct ship date, why can't ebay use that ship date for my order details and the email that is sent to buyers.
In this day and age and computer capability, I just don't see how it could not be possible. Is it because no one realizes that it does make a difference or potentially can be confusing?
Thank you.

Is there any way of removing multi quantity item listings from search results filtered by price plus shipping lowest first?
Example. If I need to search ebay for a 32GB Memory card and filter by "price plus shipping lowest first" I will see results "$10 to $50" and it will be like a 1gb card that is $10 and $50 for the 32GB card. Obviously the 1GB card for $10 was not part of my search. There are even worse results where I could be searching for a bike and see price $5 to $500 where $5 is the bike horn and $500 is the bike, yet it still shows that as a lowest price because of that horn option.
How do I remove those results from my search?
Hi @coinslabz26 - there is not a way to exclude mutli-variation listings from your search results. If you are aware of specific sellers who do this you can do an advanced search to remove them, but definitely a lot of work and not 100% effective by any means.
Listings that do what you've described are manipulating search results, which is a violation of policy. You can report those items to us by using the 'report item' link and selecting:
1. Listing practices
2. Search and browse manipulation
3. Other search and browse manipulation
4. "Continue" to open Comment box and leave notes as well as submit report.
Thanks!

Hi @mcdougle4248, no update to share at this time beyond confirmation that our tech teams are aware of the issue and are investigating currently.
OK, thanks. I have only sold 1 item since this started happening 😟

TO: THE EBAY COMMUNITY
First of all I want to thank ******EBAY for publishing this letter to eBay, I am sure that senior executives follow this account to know many of the truths that they do not like to hear.
Unfortunately, I have decided to send this letter anonymously by hiding my name and the eBay username I have used for the past two decades.
Why? After the recent events in which eBay's treatment of these bloggers in a “mafia-style” manner has been made public, anyone who does NOT know how to deal with gangster-type people would be afraid to provide their eBay name or username.
As an eBay buyer and seller I feel completely baffled, assaulted, offended, upset, sad about eBay's actions, although it is true that the main parties involved have already been fired, there is no doubt that there are more responsible within this structure than even they still work on eBay, from who recommended them, who hired them and who knew and said nothing, all of them share responsibilities.
The least eBay can do for the community is restructure and publicly apologize to the community, (the members of this community do not want to hear excuses) taking responsibility for this shameful act, an act that has not only impacted a community, has impacted the country and the world.
EBay has to be aware that there will be a lot of work ahead, eBay is accustomed to demanding standards of all kinds from sellers must realize that they themselves have failed, eBay has stopped being the example, eBay a company already used to hide processes outside of any policy, rule or law, being a judge and jury when it comes to decisions such as suspension of accounts, closing cases against honest sellers, facilitating fraud by new buyers, reserving funds from transactions already completed for long periods, facilitation and proliferation of counterfeit products, support to companies of dubious origin, the facilitation of fraud without anyone doing anything, treating their sellers as if they were criminals, the cap on sales which they deny all the time, it is enough to have a discussion with a supervisor to be reprimanded and sales cut by less than half, very listened to but always, on the dark side of eBay, anyway the list goes on.
The excessive self-confidence that for many years has accompanied eBay thinking that it is a Titanic of ecommerce has been one of the most notable mistakes, you could think that these types of acts occurred on the basis that they believe they are untouchable, their relationships Governments did not help them much in this case, simply nobody worried and did not worry for years in seeing the Icebergs, I remind you that the Titanic sank.
For the most part, eBay employees of new generations perhaps have no idea how eBay was born and grew in the 90’s and how it became a community of height at some time, that as a seller I confess that I miss those times.
EBay lost its essence and definitely lost its way. As a member of eBay, with very strong feelings to this platform I demand a public apology, a real change, I demand the resignation of all involved in the hiring and managing of this mafia style team, eBay human resources definitely failed, this event It is historical, for the first time in twenty years I feel ashamed to sell on eBay and to belong to the community, it is inexplicable, I am sure that many will be with me.
With this letter I hope not to receive a box of Spiders or a box with roaches, much less a consolation book for the death of a family member, really sad.
Sincerely An eBay member (Unnamed for security reasons)

No, my experience is the same as yours...1 item sold since this stated happening. Remember we joked about not having $2.85 to do a refund in MP? That is where I am at...not so funny now.

Or is this just another glitch or bug?
Hi @papermoneyforme - that definitely sounds unusual. Have you recently changed internet providers, or started connecting to the internet with a VPN or private internet browser?
Absolutely nothing has changed.
Just for curiosity, it seems the first replies we receive are sort of blaming us instead of what Ebay has messed up or broken.
Why?
Hi @papermoneyforme - thanks for confirming that. It definitely sounds unusual, and something you should consider reporting to CS so they can review with you and take appropriate action to assist.
We ask questions to accomplish basic troubleshooting and rule out any obvious quick fixes that may have been overlooked - not intended to come across accusatory, so apologies there!

How do I remove those results from my search?OMG I hate that and it is abused so badly. With the memory card search the best you can do is this for your search terms:
32gb sd card -1gb -2gb -4gb -8gb -16gb
That of course is assuming you are looking for a SD card. The problem is you do run the risk of filtering out a good deal. Maybe someone is selling a 32GB memory card bundled with a 16GB card for $2 less than the going rate. That search I supplied would remove that listing.
That was just one example of many. I face this every time I look for something. Everything I look for has this type grossly miscategorized type of results. I used memory cards as an example because it is easier to understand.
Because Ebay allows these types of bait and switch listings
They are NOT "bait and switch" listings. That would imply that sellers allow you to order a certain item, pay for it and then ship you something you did not order and that has a lesser value. That is beyond insulting and is totally ridiculous.
Variation listings are extremely useful tools for sellers and when used properly gives buyers the opportunity to see all their options on a particular product. I've used them for years and I'm not "bait and switch" seller.
Now there are sellers that misuse the privilege of being able to use a variation listing and when that happens they should be reported for breaking the rules. But when it is for a particular item like a memory card or Tshirt that comes in different sizes and colors. That is an appropriate use of a variation listing.
But when a seller throws in an unrelated item because it is less expensive, that is wrong and should be reported. Or if the listing is for completely unrelated items. If you want to stop them, report them so that Ebay has an easier time of locating listings that violate policy.

Some time ago, in this chat, the idea was proposed that "variations" had to be the same price...like different colors or sizes of shirts.
People seemed to like that idea, that it would solve the problem being discussed.
How about implementing that requirement?

Hi @golfingaddict, I apologize if my response last week didn't address your concerns. I've looked over my last response and the details you shared today, and I'm still not clear on what additional information I can provide. "Why" type questions are not easy to answer beyond explaining how something works and confirming that it is working as designed. If you are ultimately requesting that we add the ability for you to change the shipping date recorded in Seller Hub, you can suggest this directly within Seller Hub using the "Comments?" option in the upper right corner of the page.
I've given some details on how we have found that notifying the buyer once a label has been printed that the process of shipment has begun benefits you, and I can reiterate that there is no negative impact to your account based on when you print the label, so I don't think there is any reason for you to want to wait to print for the morning. While I understand what you are highlighting in the screenshot you shared and how you feel that marking the item as shipped on the 16th on your end when you did not take the package to the courier until the 17th is incorrect, we are recording the date when the shipping process started. Since we have different views on what this date should reference, I can only ask that you let me know specifically how you feel this makes a difference or how it is confusing for you. Understanding why you believe this creates a negative experience for you would greatly assist me in being able to pass along a request for potential changes.
