when I call CS, most of the time, they only ask my name and ZIP code to prove who I am. Other times, they also demand my phone number (which the robot has already confirmed), and sometimes even my full address. Can this policy be changed, so all I have to give to talk to an agent is name and ZIP code?
Hi @vrykalak, happy to elaborate on this. The methods we have available to confirm your identity can vary depending on the topic you are calling in about and the information we obtained from you through our automated system. Additionally, we do not always ask the same questions but select from a variety of options as this improves account security. To clarify, asking the same details every time actually increases your risk, as those who may seek to gain access to your account only only need to obtain the standard pieces of information. If we ask different questions each time, then we are taking steps to increase your account security.

Also from last week:
I'm running a Discount Oder promo. This does not appear at all on my smart phone (using the ebay app), only my PC. Is that normal? As ebay repeatedly reminds us, a hefty (and constantly increasing) percentage of buyers use smart phones.
ebay does not show our promos to these folks? If that is true, why would ebay not want to show our promos to them?
Hi @my-cottage-books-and-antiques,
I've had it confirmed that the promo module you referenced only appears on desktop right now. It is definitely an opportunity to improve the mobile experience in the future.
Thanks for calling this out.

Q: How do I get the "experienced seller" flag? What are the criteria?
A: Hi @vrykalak, these types of indicators are placed based on a variety of factors. Some recommendations we can make are to upload high quality photos, provide detailed descriptions, and use product identifiers. These tips can help to strengthen your business and increase your chances of having these kinds of labels being applied to your listings.
Q: How do any of those factors indicate an Experienced Seller?
Hi @vrykalak, as discussed previously, these kinds of indicators are placed based on a variety of factors. While we are not able to share specific details of what factors may lead to a specific title being applied, you can follow the recommendations we gave and increase your chances of having labels like these made visible on your listings.
As a side note, while these recommendations are not directly related to the Experienced Seller flag you reference, it may come as no surprise that experienced sellers commonly upload high quality photos, provide detailed descriptions and use product identifiers. Again, other factors are at play on this topic and the suggestions we made would be our advice to you to increase your chances of seeing this on your listings.

The policy change is that there are separate metrics in GLOBAL transactions. That is a delinquent report in my opinion, since it did not allow us to have a lookback period that we can act upon.

Go to: Seller Hub -> Traffic reports -> Sales to view that information.
Perhaps I'm just a little slow, but all I see is a bunch of graphs on the Traffic page, not anything Sales. There is no Seller Hub -> Traffic Reports -> Sales within our Hub. Traffic is a full-stop page as is the Sales page.
Hence the importance and usefulness of the Plus page/reports.

The last report available is from June
Hi @comics-scifi-collectibles,
There is a known issue with Sales Reports Plus at the moment. All of the information available through that report should be available in Seller Hub.
Go to: Seller Hub -> Traffic reports -> Sales to view that information.
Many thanks.
alan@ebay The sales report plus provides a quick over view of your total sales $ that includes ebay sellers fees AND paypal fees none of the seller hub reports provide this information. I hope that ebay doesn't do it away with it.

I know the issue of disappearing pics have been reported off and on over the last few months. I'm hear to join in with that issue. I am starting to see some of my variation listings losing their pics with the exception of the main pic.
As I'm sure you can imagine, this is a HUGE problem. For many reasons.
Now I need to review every variation listing I have posted.
Correct / add pics as needed which can be a lot of pics.
Potentially losing sales as the buyer can't see what they are actually purchasing.
Or potentially a SNAD because the buyer assumed something about the item that would have been noticed in the pic, but the pic was not there.
And so on.
This is a great deal of work. Why does this issue keep coming back?

After I clicked on "Print Shipping Label" for a recent sale, a prominent warning at the top of the "purchase postage" page said "Invalid ship to postal code." If eBay knows there is a problem with a buyer's address, it should help the buyer fix it rather than pass the problem on to the seller. The buyer should not be able to proceed until eBay is satisfied that a proper address was entered. What does eBay expect me to do with a bad address? If a seller corrects a bad address, they risk losing seller protections by not shipping to the address on record. EBay has to take responsibility for providing valid shipping addresses to sellers. Once a buyer pays me, I am usually required to provide next-day shipping, so I don't have time to communicate with buyers or research addresses. And even if I did, I shouldn't have to. When will eBay "address" this problem?
Hi @rivers9701, this is a concern we have recently passed along to the appropriate teams for review. If you have a zip code and item number to share here as an example, we'll be happy to pass this along. That being said, we do sometimes see this when the buyer's postal code provided is the full 9 digit zip used by USPS, but the shipping method you are using is via another carrier that does not use the final four digits. This may not be the case for your specific example, but is something to consider should you run into this while we work on enhancements.

I also want to note, Alan, that I have been told more than once over the years that the system is purged and nothing can be done.

I have a question about setting up the Item Specifics.
In the big picture, how important is the IS for Country/Region of Manufacture?
I ask this because it has been broken in Turbo Lister since around mid July. When trying to choose the country, it only goes from Unknown to India and then stops there. You cannot type anything in the space. I have chosen to just ignore it and not fill it out at all.
Then I got to wondering just how important it was in searches, etc.
Several of us have tried various ways to try to get it fixed but nothing has fixed it, even fixed sent to me by the TL team that responds to the email directly from inside the TL program.
Just curious if it is OK to just ignore that IS or does it really have a function that is important in searches.

Sorry, Trinton. I called you Alan! Anyway, the change in GLOBAL METRICS is NEW, so I was not able to see them until August 31, 2018 when the transaction occurred November, 2017.
