why doesn't the feedback page work?
One more example of ebay taking and buyers scamming and me paying as usual. No help whatsoever.
called customer support, the guy claims he can't hear me. Calls back from another number and then wants me to download this sketchy app to get into my computer. (Do they think i was born yesterday?) I refuse.
One more example of ebay not taking care of me. I'm gonna quit. Unlist 600 items and give them to charity. It's not worth the grief dealing with ebay or their dishonest scamming customers.

On eBay, sellers have NOT BEEN ALLOWED TO LEAVE NEGATIVE FB FOR BUYERS for at least 10 years, maybe longer.
And a positive FB with negative wording can get you a defect if the buyer reports it as well as having the wording removed with the positive remaining.
You have not detailed how the buyers are scamming you. There could be relief for your problem if you'd care to return and give details.

You were not talking to Ebay.
Buyers can only receive positive feedback and it's been like that for awhile.
It's also a policy violation to leave a negative comment in positive feedback.

That was not customer support that you called...it was a scammer.
Did you google eBay's support phone number by any chance...??? Googling eBay's phone number is riddled with nothing but scam phone numbers.

Currently eBay does not have a public number for customer support. You can request a call back from eBay by going to the Help & Contact link at the bottom of the page.
If you found an eBay phone number by searching Google, most likely the number is either old and no longer in service or the result of an ad placed by a scammer.
eBay support would never ask you for gift cards or ask you to install software on your computer to allow remote access -- that is something that scammers do routinely, though.
See here for how to report such scams:

@mnowakowski1961 The feedback page works just fine if you use it correctly. Currently eBay is not offering phone support. The number you called is not eBay, it is a scammer which is why they want you to download something. Good on your for recognizing that one.
All you need to do is post details of what the issue is and you will receive some valuable advice from seasoned members. Explain what the buyer is saying about the salt & pepper shakers, and perhaps we can offer you advice on how best to proceed.
Also keep in mind this platform offers a money back guarantee to all buyers. Your own no returns policy is superseded by eBay’s return policy in the TOS. Come back and tell us what went wrong. Best of luck to you....
