what's ebay's purpose for removing the quote button?

I don't understand eBay's silliness. Every thing they do is for the worse and not an improvement. Must be why I have to join the community often lately. Wish they'd just leave stuff alone.

It's still there - just a little harder to find.   It is the quote symbol on the tool bar, 7th tool from the left.
