severe multiple issues with ebay

we have been on ebay for over 22 years and have 2 accounts , we are responsible sellers and have never had one single negative feedback in all that time , we have noticed that the messaging is being sent to so many folders that messages are not get delivered or received by both transaction parties , we have gone into our cart and requested totals on items we wish to used combined shipping with and we are sent a notice that we need to send ourselves an invoice for the sellers items ??????????????? , we have been reporting this for a year now and nothing has been done ,      we have had to spend 15 hours on the phone in one week because captcha shuts us out , so we waste the time trying 10-15 other websites that require captcha and they work fine , we have had to reset our credit card and ebay wouldn't allow the update , so we call the credit card company and the say there is nothing wrong with the card , and they informed us the they are getting flooded with calls for ebay issues , we have had to spend over 270 hours on the phone in a one year window and when we get reps they all have a different story and if the cant help they just stop talking and hang up and erase the query and send a message that says they tried to call but no one answered when they just asked us for information and say thanks for your loyalty , we have started having the severe issues when the managed payments came out that were supposed to save us money but while doing our yearly taxes we noticed that in 2021 our fee rates went from 13% to over 16% , the new sellers hub also was another nail in the coffin as it locked us out of shipping label access and when we contacted ebay in the selling department the phone rep had no idea there was a new page , we spent 4 hours on the phone being put on hold over 10 times , the rep looked at both our accounts and said let me do this on my end and since then we have been going through hell ,     we reset our computers to factory settings as we do yearly  ,,when i print a label and backspace to the previous page it goes into my other account ????????   shipping page ,    which i am not even signed into , we have reset computers to factory settings and start new every year , we have gone to the library to see if the problem exists and the problems remain , we have had our Norton support go through our computers and the all say this is a ebay website issue , we have spent so much time investigating the problems at our expense , so since we are rated with feedback , shouldn't ebay have a feedback rating , we were promised the issue would be resolved but going on 2 plus years of continuously asking for help we have got zilch from support , i talked to a person from managed payments one evening for about 2 hours we discussed all the scammers and rip offs on ebay and we also got into the technical department that just disappeared  , i exclaimed to the rep that i don't even believe there is a technical dept anymore and he said to tell you the truth in the years he has worked for ebay that he has seen no evidence of the department even existing  , he also informed me he had worked for dell computers and was hired by ebay to fix the managed payments severe programing clash issues , i told him how ebay always blames everything on browser and cash and cookies problems , and he told me that doing the resets constantly would make the issues worse and to tell reps from the Philippines they are wrong ,    we are responsible sellers  , and we recently found out that ebay doesn't protect sellers any more on their largest majority of sales  market items anymore , collectible and antiques , ebays bread and butter categories , we had for the 1st time in 22 years a customer purchase an item them do severe damage to expensive statute and request a return , we replied immediately and asked seller for pics , we sent item ups and for a buyer you have to wait for 7-10 days to file a claim , so being a responsible sellers we contacted our ups account manager and we started the claim immediately , they asked for the buyers contact info and buyer refused to supply it  , instead asking for return shipping label , ebay sent them one without my ability for insurance coverage anymore as soon as item was return shipped i lost my coverage as insurance is void if item is shipped again before insurance inspection , when i received the return it was damaged in several places     ,  before    shipping item to buyer the item was inspected and photo documented before shipping item as we do on all items , the piece buyer said was broken appeared to have been dropped or mishandled as the opposite end had a big chip of paint missing that buyer never  mentioned , also the pieces i received back were all stressed and loose and i personally inspect those pieces and they all fit tight with no paint damage as the ones received back by buyer ,   i looked for the page to enter item damage on and couldn't find it so i contacted ebay and they couldn't find it exclaiming they we upgrading the website , so i sent pics to the buyer to show the destruction and damage of the item he returned  so that they were documented , after 50 plus hours on the phone with ebay reps from the Philippines  , and being told more than 30 times that i was covered , the refunded me for the shipping and not the 1300.00 plus return shipping  , and an American rep told me i was not covered and when i asked her why the Philippines rep lied to me she wouldn't answer and just said that its now safer over the last 5 years , which is way worse than it used to be , the return algorithm's just run you over , now we have a pile of junk , just because someone needed was to special in there own world  to use the insurance and ebay allowed it to happen , which goes against insurance rules and procedures , we have bent over backwards for ebay and find it hard to believe that a service we have been a cornerstone of its growth of there foundation has changed so terribly for long time responsible sellers

everything you've mentioned we have done 50 plus times , since we have wasted years on the forums , we have found no results ,  or resolutions  ,   we are just informing users what we have experienced  ,   just people saying it may be this or maybe that but when maybe hasn't worked for over 10 years  ,   the website stopped the maintenance and security  updates when paypal left the company , we document everything to identify patterns and this is what our data in facts shows us is truly happening and getting worse

Rather than spending hours on the phone with customer service or posting a laundry list of complaints, when you encounter a specific problem, you might be better off posting here or on of the other discussion boards with a few details of the issue and what steps you have already tried or error messages you have received, and see if other users can provide some practical suggestions.

For instance, if you are encountering problems keeping multiple eBay accounts separate, try using a distinct browser exclusively for each account. That way you can stay signed in to each account in a different browser, and also stay signed in to the email account associated with that eBay account, and there should be little chance of inadvertently hitting the back button and loading a page associated with the other account, or mixing things up.

If you are running into problems with Captcha or verification, there are several things that are often associated with that such as using a VPN, or using privacy programs such as Ghostery or Disconnect. Try disabling those. Some browsers or browser settings can cause verification problems, such as blocking cookies or blocking third-party cookies. If your browser is set to clear cookies automatically, this means you will have to sign in and go through verification again the next time you start up that browser. By using separate browsers for each account and by not clearing your cookies except when necessary, you can minimize the number of times you need to sign out or sign back in.

In many cases, if you are experiencing a problem with selling, other sellers may be experiencing the same thing or may have experienced it in the past and some may be able to share advice or workarounds. You may be able to save yourself from spending time on the phone with eBay customer service reps.

you are absolutely right , we are watching long time users with 100% feedback dropping off the website as new sellers are moving in drop shipping amazon products that come in a 4 foot box when the item is 8" long , they have 3000-10000 negative feedbacks a month and after 2 years they change the user name and off they go , we were promised a concierge service but it never came we were promised ebay bucks for selling and 10 years later we never saw any evidence of it , we occasionally get an American rep on the phone and they fix thing or tell you that the Philippines reps misinformed you  , just keep on the phone as we found the forums dont help if you have been using the website for 20 plus years , trying to keep up with the changing pages is now a weekly thing instead of a monthly thing , we sometimes have to call 5-10 times before we can get help , instead of rep saying we have a problem and we are still working to fix it , we are a free  R&D laboratory
