search issues

If I'm searching randomly Ralph Lauren shoes or Tommy Hilfiger shoes, I am able to search via shoe size.  However if I search via a seller (specify a seller, ie. bobbibrickaboutique), and if I'm searching Women's Clothing "Dresses" the search will not allow me to stipulate "Size", or "Brand"...it just lists every dress.  I can keep stipulating size "S", but it will not acknowledge the size.  The only thing it will allow me to specify is "Condition" (new with box, or new without box, etc).

Is there a way to rectify this?

Re: search issues

Many of the filters (other than Condition) are category-specific; if you are not seeing them, try narrowing the category down. You may not see a size filter in the general Clothing & Accessories category, but if you narrow it down to a particular category like Women's Shoes or the Dresses category, a size filter should appear when searching a seller's items.

Re: search issues

I believe you have to limit the search to just the "Shoes" category in order to get the filters that are specific to shoes.

Re: search issues

Thank you for the replies.

I have narrowed it to "dresses", but regrettably (no matter how many times I try to add size "S", it will not add at all...so all sizes will be listed.  No matter how many times I press "S" or size "4" or "6", it will not acknowledge the selection.  I have tried via other sellers, but for some bizarre reason it will not permit me to add.    As well, I am unable to specify colour, dress length, etc.

This is a bit of a weird one for me as this has never happened before 😞

Re: search issues

Ah, I see what you mean; the filter is available, but does not seem to be actually filtering anything.

As a workaround, try adding the size as one of your search keywords. That does not work for everything, and there may be many false positive results, but at least it cuts down the total results a bit. As long as the size is included in the title or item specifics, that search should find it if you use the exact same term as the filter option.

Not sure why the filters do not seem to be working, though.
