Hi.. I unfortunately found it necessary to leave a negative feedback to a seller about a car that I purchased on February 16th 2024 because upon its arrival and subsequent inspection it differed substantially from its stated Ebay description as the car proved to be not derivable /a non running vehicle !?
Since that date the seller and I have reached a settlement between us and I would like to now give the seller positive feedback.
However the Ebay time allowance for revising feedback is now ( May 05, 2024 ) past / ore than Ebay's 60 days time allowance for doing so.
Because Ebay feedback is very important I am trying diligently to give this seller positive feedback ? How / what steps / whom do I contact for changing / revising feedback ? I am greatful for any guidance ..HELP.

I'm pretty sure sellers can only send feedback revision requests for 30 days.
What you can do is go to the feedback and off to the right click the follow up link to leave a reply.

You're out of time for any revision. Though you could try giving eBay a ring.
I'm guessing the settlement is dependant on feedback revision?

Had you contacted the seller to try to resolve your complaints prior to leaving feedback? Or did you leave the feedback before contacting the seller?
If it's the latter, in the future, always contact sellers with complaints and try to get resolution. That way, you won't have to change a feedback you may have left prematurely.

For sure I did in fact first contact the seller about the defects BEFORE leaving any negative feedback, and after many email exchanges between us we reached a settlement. apparently the seller's employee that was to have serviced the car PRIOR to shipping it to me had inadvertently neglected to do so .
So unfortunately it took many email exchanges between the seller and I to resolve the situation. The seller is asking me to remove the negative feedback which I am willing to do and have been trying to do . As I would like to give the seller positive feedback now that the issues / defects with the car have been appropriately resolved between us. I though that this was clearly stated and don't understand your admonishment instead of explaining to me how to go about revising the the feedback ??? HELP

Your OP didn't say whether you tried to work with the seller prior to leaving feedback. Many buyers jump to neg sellers with feedback being the seller's first indication of a problem, thus the reason for my question and suggestion in the event that that was what happened between you and the seller.
Unfortunately, I don't think the feedback can be revised at this late date.

thank you..I have tried every way that I can to actually contact a real person all I get is put into a loop and A I responses. Now waiting for a promised email response from Ebay within the next day ? The ebay feedback section claims to allow revisions follow ups so far I' have not be able to do so, ?? getting a live person at Ebay is next to impossible but for sure they want their money and respond with emails that they are debiting an account for payment they do that very well and fast . reply to a member asking for help with a problem and such can grow a foot long beard faster . (:-)

Did anyone else get a nastygram from @daveindian because he didn't like their responses?
My responses weren't rude and bringing politics into my non-political and accurate advice was inappropriate.

There was no admonishment. Alberta asked whether you had contacted the seller first, then offered you advice for future transactions on how to avoid being stuck in the same situation (e.g., past the timeframe to revise feedback).
Others already addressed your direct question about revising feedback and the advice to communicate with a seller before leaving FB is solid. Even if you did communicate with the seller before leaving FB (which was not disclosed in your first post), someone else reading this public discussion forum in the same situation may not have contacted their seller first. Alberta's tip is helpful - hope you can see that.

Seller can reply to the "negative feedback" after 30 days...I just did a thank you to a buyer without a problem.
You can tell seller " to reply to your feedback"...and then you can reply to his feedback. The negative won't go away but the replies might make it sound better.

There is no need for the seller to reply to the FB. The buyer can post a follow up to their original FB without that step.
Go to any FB you left (as buyer or seller) and off to the right there's a Follow Up link. That's on classic web. If you're on the app the view/navigation may be a bit different.
The follow up link appears indefinitely as far as I can tell. I can leave a follow up to FB I left 15 yrs ago if I want.
