I'm getting a 'failed to fetch' error when attempting to reply to a message with a send an offer.

Anyone know if ebay tech support responds to these issues or even posts anywhere about these issues?

What browser or app are you using? Have you tried another browser, or another browser mode (mobile, classic or desktop)?

Is the user you are replying to still registered? Is the item still listed?

I'm getting the same error message. I've tried Firefox, Internet Explorer, and Chrome in incognito mode (that was the solution offered to me by eBay customer support). I want to send a customer an offer, but this message keeps popping up.

Yep, I got this message, too. Went back to the original message and clicked "send an offer". That worked

I only use chrome on my desktop and it is up to date. I have not tried other modes as time is scarce at the moment. The user is still registered and the item is my own that I was selling. It is now sold after I changed the BIN price.

I see now that there are two instances where I can send an offer through ebay messaging. One is from the original message that offers a "reply to offer" button and the second (which is the one that fails) is when you select reply to a message and then you see "send an offer" button. That send an offer button when selected displays the message, "failed to fetch".

I'm getting this message, too. So frustrating as I came to an agreement with an interested buyer. I tried using a different browser, clicking through via the message (rather than the email), turning off my ad blocker. Nothing worked. 😩

Yeah, same error message. The feature to send offers seems to be broken currently.

I called Ebay yesterday (3/6) and was told that they are aware of the problem and would contact me via email when it was solved. So far no email.

Ebay REALLY NEEDS TO FIX THIS PROBLEM!!! I have had this happen a lot and I get so aggravated!! The buyer and I come to an agreement on an item and then I can't send him the Offer to cement the problem!!!!

I do not get a lot of buyers asking lower my price, but my work-around is to create a coupon that is private, and set the expiration date for 2 days out. I respond to the email message and put in the coupon code for them to use at check out. after the coupon expires it is no long active and I delete it off my promotions page.

However, now that I have read about going to the original email and trying to send an offer there I will have to give that a try.
