Where's all the stuff?

Our homepage is down, but the rest of eBay is fine. We'll have it back up in a moment.

Does anyone know what causes this and how to fix it?  It started to happen to me in the last two weeks and seems to get getting worse.  I get locked out of ebay and my items do not list.

Any help would be appreciated.

Home page looks fine to me. 
Try a different browser or device.

Hi,  This happened to us here in N.J. a few days back.  We cleared our cookies & restarted our P.C. - that cleared it up..........Good Luck (J.B.)

Same here in California, particularly the last 3 days. I happened to be in an email exchange with a friend in Seattle during a bad time on Friday, and he was seeing the same thing at the same time. It goes away in a few minutes like nothing happened (except you've lost your edits). Now I create a draft every few minutes.

It can't be very wide-spread though or there would lots more reports here. Maybe a VPN issue or some kind of localized internet caching thing?

Agreed.  It seems to come & go.  If we are working on a new listing or a revision it will wind up in "drafts".  After we clear cookies & restart our P.C. we will have to start over.  Takes a bit of time but we can get 'er done.  I am sure eBay is aware of it & will get things straightened out.  Good Luck Everyone!  (J.B.)

I turned off my VPN and it came back immediately and has been going fine (for 6 hours now). Others have tried the same and it didn't help.

It clearly doesn't affect everybody on eBay, or else there would be a hundred upvotes on this thread. But if its not eBay, why would only eBay be affected!

It's been happening to me almost every day for the past two weeks, in the evenings when I list stuff into my eBay Store. It does not seem to happen in the daytime when I am processing orders, sending messages to buyers etc. (thankfully) but as soon as I start to list my first item for sale it goes down for 5 - 10 minutes, then comes back up.  I've learned to have another page open to test eBay before trying to list or everything I wrote will just be blanked out.  Very Very frustrating.  I am in the Bay Area in NorCal not far from their headquarters, I know when they do updates in the evenings their time (which is mine) things can go haywire, but this has been going on for at least two weeks.

I'm also in the Bay Area and have had exactly the same experience. When I turned off my VPN it appeared to help, but of course that doesn't really make sense.

I am having this issue as well.   VPN on or off doesn't matter.
