"Used" Search Filter Not Working

For the last 3 days, every time I check the Used box in the filter, it shows 0 results even though there are numerous used items shown when not filtered. I have tried 3 different browsers and the mobile app, and it doesn't work on any of them.

Re: "Used" Search Filter Not Working

What search terms are you using, and what category are you searching in?

Some categories use different item condition options -- a "used" option may not work in every possible category, but there may be other specific options that do work.

For instance, in the sheet music category, these are the condition options:

Re: "Used" Search Filter Not Working

Please don't treat me like a moron. The example you show doesn't even have a Used box, so obviously I couldn't filter for something when it doesn't exist. I do all of my searches under the "All" category where there are always 2 condition filters; New and Used.

This isn't something I'm just trying for the first time. It is a filter I've used tens of thousands of times over the past 20+ years and has worked up until 3 days ago.

Allow me to also clarify that I have already done the obvious troubleshooting such as clearing cache, clearing cookies and even restarting my computer.

Nonetheless, if items you are searching for are only located in such a category, the "used" filter may not find them if a different condition is specified in those listings. And if you are searching "All categories", those category-specific options will not be available for you to choose.

Another user posted a very similar complaint recently, which is why I had the sheet music example handy. In that situation, altering the search allowed results to be found.

It is entirely possible that something about eBay's search has recently broken, which is one reason why I asked for your search terms and category -- to see if I could recreate the issue.

It is also possible that eBay has changed the way that categories are organized, and this has caused searches that previously worked to no longer work. It certainly would not be the first time that something like that has happened.
