"Shipping not Specified" when using global search on any item in my store.

Just got off the phone with an Ebay rep. 

Sales have slumped the last few days, everytime this happens there is a glitch. Usually it gets fixed, but this seems to be only happening with my store and any items in it.

Go to the search bar. Type in: 2022 Panini Obsidian Jose Ramirez #53. See the results? I am probably one on the top due to promoted listings. Look under the price of the card. "Shipping not specified". Scroll down. Other sellers all have 1.00 shipping, free shipping, etc. 

Now hop onto my store. Check any item. Sports cards (free shipping), clothing (usually around 4.99 or 5.99 shipping). Copy and paste into the search bar. Same thing. So it's not only with certain categories or even with different shipping options. 

To most, if not all, other sellers, this doesn't seem to be an issue, however it is with my store. 

To note: I have been selling on ebay consistently for 16 years. So I am not a newbie seller, I know how to make listings properly. I have not changed anything in my store other than listing items and shipping using the same shipping and listing methods I have for years.

Sales fluctuate, issues happen. But this one just seems very strange.

Thanks to anyone who has read this far, and if you have, please try it as well to see if the issue is still happening or if you have any ideas to fix this. Since shipping is not showing on my listing in search, I know as a buyer I would not click on an item that doesn't have shipping price showing, how about you?

Hey @tankedupthreads . Do you mind checking / testing a few things to see if we can figure this out?

My initial observations:

All affected listings (that I checked) have one of 3 ship costs:

Flat $5.99, Flat $12.99 or for trading cards Free Ship

I am wondering if perhaps the biz policies were somehow corrupted?

Are you willing to create a new policy for $5.99 - don't copy the old policy. Create a new one with the same parameters, but with a new name. If the system says you already have a policy with those settings, make a random change like blocking a country to which you're not likely to sell anything. Then take that new policy and apply it to this listing: 296210264923

Come back when that's done so we can check and see how it's displaying in search. We'll go from there.

EDIT: My response assumes you use business policies. Do you use biz policies? If not we'll take a different approach.

Here is an example of a search on mobile (same on desktop).

If I click on an individual listing off search, it shows the shipping on the item page. But not on the searched page. Does that make sense?

Like pick any item from my store, copy and paste the listing title (not item number) and compare to other sellers items.

It's weird my shipping isn't displayed on the searched items but individually on the item page it does.

Yes, I replicated the issue with your account before I wrote my above reply. Please review my last reply and let me know if you're using business policies or not.

Yes I am, I switched that listing from 5.99 to 4.99, a new one was made using the advice you gave. Is it still showing the same on your end?

It still shows the not specified on search, but shows shipping costs on actual item. 

So good guess, I hadn't tried that yet but still doesn't seem to fix results. Any other ideas?

No, still seeing the issue with that listing (and the new one) despite the policy switch.

Are you using third party listing software or listing direct with eBay's listing form?

No listing software, just ebays usual listing forms. Have never seen this happen before and didn't change any settings, been listing like usual, haven't changed to new shipping options. 

I'm at a total loss on why or how this happened. When I called ebay they said they would open a ticket, but I'm guessing someone (or hoping someone) can figure out why it glitched. Especially since it seems to only affect my store, no others that I have seen.

I've seen it happen once before @tankedupthreads but the poster said they were contacting CS and never returned so it remained unsolved.

I'll come back to this discussion tomorrow. Would like to marinate on it tonight, maybe mess with some of my own settings and policies, to see if I can come up with another idea or something else to try.

I dunno. Just hoping to resolve it sooner than later. I will keep my notifications open to respond either way.

So I thought about it overnight, and since this started on Saturday, I checked to see what I did other than list.

I started a 50% off sale on sports cards.

I started a 35% off sale on clothing.

I had a storewide sale of buy 3, get 25% off, but that has been a constant.

I had promoted listings set at 13% storewide, but that has been a constant.

So I ended all sales all promoted listings this morning storewide.

Currently, that fixed the issue and is showing shipping currently. I am going to start all over with sales and promotions to see if I can pinpoint where the issue starts.

That's crazy @tankedupthreads because I noticed the sales yesterday and was going to suggest it as a possible conflict, but then I saw a listing not on sale that had the same problem so I ruled it out.

I looked at your listings just now and while listings that had "shipping not specified" yesterday show a ship cost, the issue is not fixed.

I sorted your listings by 'newly listed' and on the first page of results alone there are 21 instances of "shipping not specified" and most those items are not on sale (some are). The mystery continues. I'll take another look after I get going with my day.
