When responding to topics on the discussion boards, I often check an OP's listings to determine whether they're using PayPal as their payment processor or have been transitioned into the Managed Payments program. If the "Payment Method" includes Google Pay or Apple Pay, the seller has been transitioned into Managed Payments. If not, they're still using PayPal as their payment processsor.
It's a pretty important distinction when responding to a seller's questions.
Today, I noticed the "Payment Method" is no longer displayed on the several listings I've checked. Are they showing up for you, or is it just me? Anyone know why that's no longer available?
I'm using a Windows 10 machine and a Chrome browser--both up to date--on the desktop platform. Same result with or without using Adblocker app.

The first listing I checked looked similar to your picture: no payment methods shown, just the eBay Mastercard ad. Using Firefox, if that matters.
I seem to recall this happened previously -- I think it was a test on eBay's part. But the test did not last long at that time.
The payment methods can still be seen by going to the shipping and payment tab and scrolling down. The familiar icons are there:

Here is the payment section for a seller not on Managed Payments, for comparison:
The Google Pay option is not shown.

Yes, I know the difference in the Payment Methods images for the two types of sellers (PayPal or Managed Payments). That's why I look for it when answering a question that might be influenced by which payment processor the seller is using--and that's why I posted this thread.
I didn't even think (obviously) to look at the Shipping & Payments tab. Thank you for finding it!
Just for the record, I think that's a rather ridiculous change. Maybe repeating it in that tab, but not deleting it from where it was. Sometimes I just have to wonder why they do that kind of thing. What was the point that change? SMH.

You are most welcome.
After I posted initially, I decided to double-check to make sure the icons displayed in the Shipping and Payments tab followed the same rules and allowed the same identification by virtue of the appearance of the Google Pay or Apple Pay, and that does indeed appear to be the case.
I think when the previous test occurred the response on the discussion boards was very similar to your reaction -- that this change represented a step backwards with no discernible benefit.

I've noticed that the last few days.
I'll reload the page and it'll show up and sometimes it takes a couple tries.

I looked at one of your listings since you are in Managed Payments and then I looked at one of my listings as I'm not in Managed Payments and neither listing is showing any Payment Options on the main listing page. You have to click the shipping and payment tab to see the logos.
If this continues I will no longer be trying to help any sellers who are having questions about payment issues as I'm not clicking into a listing and then clicking into another tab just to see their payment options to determine if they are in Managed Payments or not. I will simply tell them to contact eBay's Managed Payments team (if they even exist).

Sincerest apologies for not crediting you for finding the Payment Methods in my post on the Community Chat thread today. I definitely should have done that! By the time it occurred to me, the Chat thread was closed. Sorry!

Not a problem!
I rarely participate in those chats, but I was glad to see that you raised the issue there.

When was it that eBay tried this before and after some brief discussion it was reverted back to showing Payment Options on the listing front page?
When they do strange things like this I wish they would explain their reasoning on why this looks like a good idea. To me it looks dumber than a box of hair.

I found one thread from back in August from someone who noticed the change; I could not find any statement from eBay about it, though.
eBay rarely explains the reasoning behind such changes.
