"Open item page in" new tab or same tab, is not working

There is a customize setting for "Open item page in" new tab or same tab. The default is now new tab, which is awful and was never the case for 25 years on eBay! That forces us to keep changing from "new tab" back to "same tab." That worked for a few days. Now, even that doesn't work. No matter what I do, clicking on a listing opens a NEW tab every time. Firefox browser, mac OS Ventura.

Your first mistake is expecting anything on eBay to work correctly.  It's only been 25 years after all....  🙂

Same here. Tried on on all, different browsers both home and work and even private/non-private too. Have the customize settings set to open in same tab. This happened to me also about a year or so ago but sorted itself out . How I do not know but it did. Now the behavior is back and doesn't seem to be a "fix" for this. Very annoying and very frustrating.
