For the last few weeks, if you click the "Open image gallery" button (it's in the top right of the image area, beside the favourite heart) in many auctions, the image gallery appears but only with small images, only 500 pixel on the longest side. If you download them the file name is "s-l500.jpg". This is happening in about half of all auctions I get new notifications for. Here's one example: https://www.ebay.com/itm/267185672477
Higher quality images are available, since if you download them from the initial auction page (I guess you call that the image carousel or filmstrip?) they download as s-l960.jpg and often by changing the filename in the URL you can coax the now-standard 1600px versions out with s-l1600.jpg.
A sort-of related bug is that if you close the Gallery with the X or the Esc key, the Gallery will not show any images if re-opened.
