problems with old transaction reporting

May 1, 2016 I purchased a 32 gb memory kit from  allizwell2k10.  When installed it said 28 gb, so I just figured that windows had grabbed 4 gig.  a month or so ago, I ran a softsandra scan and discovered that one of the 8 gig modules was a 4 gig.  So the seller shipped a product that did not match the listing.

I can't report it through ebay reporting, because the transaction is to old.  Contacted the seller.  They said that the memory is warranteed through Crucial. Crucial said that allizwell2k10 is not an official distributor, so they won't warrantee.  Made an offer to allizwell2k10, because I need another 8 gig of memory, offered to purchase a pair of 4 gigs, and have them ship me an 8 gig and a 4 gig, so I will have the 32 gig I paid for, and he 8 gig I needed.  They are ignoring me.  How can I get some heat applied?  is there *ANY* way to contact ebay about this issue.....

The transaction is over a year old. I believe you are out of luck. 30 days on eBay to report a problem and 180 on paypal.

@bludmoney Over a year ago, you're out of luck. If the seller's not willing to work with you then there's really nothing you can do.

You can report the seller to iC3, but there is nothing you can do to force the seller to send you the missing memory.

That is unfortunate.

what is Ic3 and how do I do that?

and I wonder if he has a twitter handle....

Someone who claims that they are selling memory with a warrantee, but are not, is fraud, and needs to be brought to Ebay's attention.

Crucial will only warrantee memory sold by an authorized distributor.

Anyone know how to report FRAUD to ebay?

I don't think the memory arrived in a crucial box, but it might have.  Clearly, soft sandra indentifies one of the modules as a 4g module, so it is not *faulty* memory.  I have not pulled it out to see if it was mislabeled by Crucial.  If it says 8GB on it, then it is a crucial problem, but if it says 4gig, then it is on the seller.

The bottom line, is that he is selling memory that he claims is warranteed, when it clearly is not.

and that is fraud, or at least mis-representation.
