new listing tool sucks

there is no way to add a starting time with new listing tool. The new listing tool is crap. It is taking longer to list items. Who was the genius who wrote this program?

@clanz1   Unfortunately, had a "genius" actually did the programming we wouldn't be having this pleasant conversation ... not to mention the thousands of others who are doing the same.

I will be going in to it soon, not looking forward to it based on things I've read but I will try to be objective when and if I offer a review or critique of it.  I understand a lot of frustration is the simple fact that once again Sellers have to learn a new program (so to speak).  Many of us who grew up in the computer age are sort of tired of learning NEW programming, especially when it takes two steps backwards in an era where programming is "supposed" to make things easier and quicker ... I have been learning new programming since the late 70s when talking to the local college computer from our high school computer class was done in Basic and on a teletype machine with a large roll of paper and a phone modem ... in College it was Fortran and Cobol ... that's when I decided to be a user and not a programmer LOL.  Then in the mid to late 80s it was desk top computers in our office with a monochrome screen and NO mouse, navigation was via keystrokes (and BTW, still no internet yet) ... and Dick Tracy cartoons showed him using his wrist watch with a screen and phone capabilities ... HELLO! THAT'S now a reality ... maybe the Jetsons cartoon high tech world will become a reality too ... cars that fly ...

Yeah Mr Lincoln, always a pleasure to have to learn something all over again, but I believe they did this to integrate the mobile and regular PC listing tool. There were limitations on the mobile app. Since I use an iPad for everything this might be a better thing.

You can schedule start times:  Scroll down to pricing section.....click on edit all options......on the right side.  When the popup comes up, click on the 3 lines (with dots) in upper left corner...

Thanks for the info. I was on the phone with customer support, and they did not know how to add start time. But that does not surprise me.

I have see where but its so confusing to find. you have to search in all the popups and toggle a switch.  just keep looking- it is there somewhere in this new improved simple to use tool.  Where's Waldo!

Another confusing thing- if you find it and schedule a listing time- it will take you to a screen that says you listing is now live..... not a screen that says your listing has been schedule- so you dont really know if it is actually live or if it is scheduled......

I'm with you man, they designed this only for cell phones. It's just made for tiny little cell phone screens. But if you are an adult and only use a computer, this design is terrible. SO MUCH unecessary clicking. So many pop ups. I'm constantly scrolling and searing for things that use to be all visible on the same screen!

I hate this! I just don't even want to list anymore it's so much extra work.

I am using the SKU number field as a starting date field.  10162022 for listing something today.  I originally was using a box numbering type system in the SKU field, but have been converting it into a date system.  Everything is organized by the original listing date. 

When I revise the listing, I update the date in the SKU field. 

I want to know the last time I edited, or modified it.

It is awful, editing sometimes takes 2-3 tries (light/dark/resize/etc...)  I know it's more cost effective to use streaming listing, but it really is awful.  Also, you can edit much as well (colors) and more.  I hope there saving a lot because it's obviously not good for sellers here.  I'd say on average 75-200% longer to list with less tools.
