list item with free shipping, goes live with a shipping charge. every time. **bleep**?

i just posted three items for sale, made SURE i had free shipping checked, and a specific method for shipping. low and behold, all wind up having it changed to first class for a fee to the customer.

then i review my other items and some of them ALSO have been changed, even though on them as well i KNOW i checked free shipping (i ALWAYS offer free shipping).

got any answers ebay?

i think people see this and get annoyed as i was turned on to it by someone wanting an item and wonderign why i had FREE SHIPPING in the heading yet it showed a cost.

maybe someone working at ebay will see this and fix the problem? why cant i just set this as a default/auto selection when i list an item as well?

Out of 14 active listings for you, I only see one listing that shows a shipping cost. The others show free shipping.

how are you listing?  sell similar?  If you set up a template, you should be able to specify free shipping and then have that used for all......

But that item is a GTC listing that has been up since December.  So it looks like Free shipping is working. I wonder why the OP is seeing a shipping cost.

I checked your newest listing (for Swamp Thing) and as noted it is showing Free shipping.

However, there is a problem with the specific service offered.  In the top section of the listing says that you'll ship via Expedited shipping, and the shipping and payments tab in the listing says that you'll ship in a Priority Mail flat Rate envelope.  But in the text of the listing, you says that you'll ship via Media Mail.

Not only is this inconsistent, but also comics aren't eligible to be shipped via Media Mail.  I recommend that you revise the listing and ship the item as a First Class package, which will cost about the same as Media Mail and will be much faster.  Be sure to use cardboard to stiffen the envelope not only to protect the item but also to ensure that it meets the USPS criteria to be mailed as a package.

That's the listing I was referring to above: "that item is a GTC listing that has been up since December.".

Both description and title show Free Priority Shipping but the shipping tab shows $4+ for first class. Confusing.
