Currently searches set to "Price + Shipping: Lowest first" count listings containing multiple items at multiple prices as though they had the lowest price among their constituent items.
I believe any of the following would offer an improved user experience:
* (My preference): Count listings containing multiple items at multiple prices as though they had the highest price among their constituent items.
* Count listings containing multiple items at multiple prices as though they had the mean price of their constituent items.
* Omit listings containing multiple items at multiple prices from search results when sorting by combined price + shipping.
The current behavior, counting listings containing multiple items at multiple prices as though they had the lowest price among their constituent listings, is enabling abuse of search results whereby sellers include an (often irrelevant) item in a listing at a very low price to make it appear at the top of search results sorted by "Price + shipping: lowest first"
Ideally this would be corrected site-wide but failing that it would be nice if this could at least be a user-configurable preference for search behavior.
