if you have a starter store with 100 insertions , do you still have the ability to use the 50 free?

I see the 50 free insertions on my "Overview" but when I went over the 100 I got charged. It did not take from the 50 free.

Stores do not get the 50 free... They get the amount offered for the store level only.

I have it on one of my starter stores too. I haven't used my 100 yet, so did not know if they would work. I found a thread yesterday that said it was a glitch, it shouldn't even be showing on our overview...

If it's not real, then they need to get rid of showing it. I ended up being charged $3.60 for going over the 100 even though the "Overview" shows that I have 50 free insertions to use. That really sucks.

At least, now I know not to believe what the screen shows me.

I saw the same thing yesterday. I called & was told yes it was valid. Not really believing the rep I listed a few items and sure enough I was charged .30 for the 4 listing that went over my store allocation. I was issued a credit for the $1.20. My understanding was that they were going to give us an additional 50 for at least the next month or two but there seems to be a glitch in the system (surprise surprise.) I think this is their way of placating sellers over the GTC fiasco.

Same here. I wanted to use the free 50, but just caught myself before listing when I saw the .30 listing fee for one item I was about to list. The 50 still show active through April 30th. I see someone got a credit for their fees of $1.20 after listing 4 items. Was this automatic, or did Ebay need to be contacted for this to happen?

No call them. I got the 50 free again this month in my overview. I called yesterday & actually got someone in the US & the 50 will kick in after you use your store allocation. I called because when I signed up for my starter store it was only for fixed price listings. Apparently at some point it changed to either fixed or auctions. Yesterday I listed an auction & expected it to come out of the 50 free but it came out of my store allocation so I called to clarify.

The Starter store has never been limited to fixed price listings. Some of the original documentation and guidance had confusing layout of charts.  Here's an article from when the Starter subscription was first introduced a year ago; you can see that it has always had 100 free insertions that could be used in either format.

I'm pretty sure that your customer support rep was wrong about "the 50 will kick in after you use your store allocation."

Be sure to read the fine print in those offers!

Sometimes they are for certain categories only, or certain durations, etc.

If you don't look into it, you'll never know because they make it confusing on purpose!

I would call customer service to get those fees credited. If they don't I would take a screen shot of that screen and report it to your states attorney generals office because they are advertising free listings when they are not.

This is a site glitch that ebay is working to fix.  Starter stores just get the 100 listings a month.

The 50 "free" in your promotions box should not be there.  You know it's not a real offer because it lasts for a month, ebay NEVER offers extra free listing promotions that last a month.

I didn't realize it wasn't real until I had 101 items for sale. The 101st listing showed fee of $0 because I hadn't gone over for that month but then other listings auto renewed which put me over 100 for the month and I was charged. This is totally illegal for eBay to do this. They are advertising something and not following through. I called them and they are not crediting me for that extra listing. I have now filed a complained with my states attorney generals office because of them violating not only my states adverting law but also Federal law as well. It has been there the entire month of May. They need to send a message or notice to the affected people to tell them this. It is how eBay is handling this is the problem.
