how to stop ebay from opening new tabs

when i'm doing some searches. every item i click on opens a new tab. it's FREAKING REDICULOUS !!!!!  How do i stop this. i've been looking for days now but cant find anything.

It happened to me today as well.  I thought I was doing something wrong.  Fix what is actually broken and leave other stuff alone.

Been happening to me for quite a while, currently have three ebay tabs open in Chrome that I didn't ask for, I have to double check daily to make sure I don't have a bunch of eBays open.

EBay, hello.  I do not want to open a new tab every time I click an item to view.  This is stupid.  Turn it off right now.

Ebay this is fn annoying me to on Android especially if I want to Desktop view a page then the efr  opens in Android view which means changing to Desktop.

Read the fn criticism and change it back

SO LISTEN UP EBAY USERS!!!!  THIS HAPPENED TO ME LAST SPRING AND THEN IT STOPPED AND I CANNOT REMEMBER FOR THE LIFE OF ME IF I FOUND OUT HOW TO STOP IT OR IF IT JUST RANDOMLY STOPPED ON ITS OWN???  BUT IT JUST STARTED HAPPENING AGAIN!!!!!  SO THIS IS EBAYS WAY OF MANIPULATING THE SEARCH ENGINES FOR NUMBERS COUNT!  IT TRICKS THE SEARCH ENGINES INTO THINKING THERE ARE 3,4, 5 TIMES THE USERS SEARCHING FOR AN ITEM ON EBAY WHICH MOVES EBAY UP ON THE SEARCH ENGINE LIST!!!!!!!!!   

WISH I COULD REMEMBER HOW OR WHEN IT STOPPED/STARTED BUT ITS BACK AND I HATE IT!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, some of you people obviously do not know how to use a computer.  Yes it is annoying that a new tab pops up every time, but all you have to do is close the tab and you are right back on the original tab you started from.  If you are complaining that clicking on "Back to search results" starts the search over, then YOU ARE DOING IT WRONG.  Just close the tab.  Why are you clicking on something on a page you do not want to be on?
