how do you send a return message on this new system, I have tried everything and con not figure it o

Can someone please help me with the new message system, I cannot get any help from e-bay whatsoever. You used to be able to contact them but no longer offer help.

In the 3rd window pane at the bottom, a little icon and the words "Send Message"

it looks unclickable, but it is active...click there, a box opens up to type your reply

then click the little paper airplane to the right to send

the icon to the left is attach photo

I tried that, but it keeps bringing up my download folder. I have no idea what it's trying to get me to-do. I've tried everything, it seems they don't want us to communicate at all. I tried to send a message to a seller this morning and it wouldn't let me. It said I could through the seller information section, but I have no idea where that's at.

Try another browser to rule out a browser issue.

Excuse my ignorance here, but how do I do that? I'm older and the computer is still a mystery to me.

You might be using a browser that's too old too recognize the coding....it may need to be updated.

A browser is a software application that allows users to access and interact with content on the internet, like web pages, images, and videos, by retrieving and displaying them on your computer or mobile device, essentially acting as a window to the online world; popular examples include Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Microsoft Edge.  You may have an outdated, off brand that needs an update. not common, just guessing here. You can find out what you are using by click the "About" on the very top line.

OK, did a search on that, have to go into settings and what not. Looks like I might be able to handle it.

Are you sure you're not clicking the photo icon on the left (which is for uploading photos)?

Click on the 'send message' text within the outlined box.

Type your message.

Click the paper airplane on the right to send the message.

Does that work @d_42 ?

The reply box is vague and difificult to see - it is awful communications design.  But that is the tech in 202!4  Awful!  And you wont' get any support here.  No one looks at these pages, they are here to make sellers think something is being done.

You are not contacting eBay when you post in the community section, we are other buyers and sellers that try to help. So yes, it can be random people seeing your message. Only if they are looking in section you posted it in or if it pops up on their feed. More often than not, the replies you get here are better than the ones you might get contacting eBay customer service thru the "Help/Contact" window.
