receive my email via Outlook. The emails arrive with seached items pictures. Click on item in email it goes to that item... but when I click on the "view all results" button in all the emails I get this connection refused error:
This site can’t be reached
shop.ebay.com refused to connect.

Found some emails that do work... clicking on "review all results" button... the link goes from rover.ebay.com to shop.ebay.com or desc.ebay.com... these redirects doen't work... but other emails go from rover.ebay, com to www.ebay.com these work. Not sure why some are set to go one way and others set to go a different way.

I have the same issue clicking on "Search all Results" from my gmail.
First it goes to rover.ebay.com then redirects to shop.ebay.com then the error message "Safari cannot open this page because it cannot connect to the server"
This issue started about 3 weeks ago.
Anyone have any ideas?

I thought ebay technical support monitored this board. This is an ebay problem with their search servers. It's still happening.

eBay technical support?? you need to fix this. Still getting this error when clicking on the "view all results" button in my email saved searches:
This site can’t be reached
shop.ebay.com refused to connect.

also getting this server error:
This site can’t be reached
desc.shop.ebay.com refused to connect.

surprised at the lack of responses from other people to acknowledge this problem. It's still happening, which makes me doubt real ebay tech support people actually monitor these forums and act on their technical problems. Still getting this message:
This site can’t be reached
shop.ebay.com refused to connect

Thank you. This is clearly an eBay issue AND clearly there are NO eBay technical people monitoring this board. It really is a waste of everybody's time. If eBay wants to go under... they are doing a good job by not listening or responding to their customers.

It may be an issue, but it is a fairly trivial one in the whole scheme of eBay making changes to the site to do damage control for Google Chrome's mostly unilateral attempt to "fix the internet". It is probably on the todo list, but a low priority.
For the most part I have seen no evidence that this forum is monitored. eBay folks do pop in once in a while, but even if they did, I suspect their answer would be the same as mine.
You didn't answer my questions (which wasted my time). eBay isn't going to fix it anytime soon, so you can complain about it or look at workarounds.
If the link is an HTTPS link and is causing the problem for the reason I postulated , and the HTTP version works, you can copy it to the clipboard from the emails, remove the S and make it an HTTP link, and paste it in the browser and do your business.
(If I were in that situation it would be a non-issue using an addon called Redirector in FireFox for which I could create a simple rule to intercept the non-working HTTPS links from the email client, and redirect to the working HTTP target without having to cut and paste. It could aslo be done with a dedicated 10 line GreaseMonkey redirection script in Firefox.)
There are ways to work around eBay annoyances until they get fixed.

I clearly stated what the problem is. it has nothing to do with https or Google. I retrieve my mail POP SMTP via Outlook 2010. The problem is with eBay search results emails including servers names that don't resolve correctly. I'm addressing this complaint to eBay technical support... no one else can fix it.

I can see where your problems lie if you call that "clearly stated".
If you think you are talking to eBay at any point.....
Have fun with your problem.
