the feedback consisted of: "hard to follow on the communications - considering that the item is available in another colorway. Just wish it had been easier. But seller really then tried to be accommodating. Much appreciated overall.".
I really don't want to change the message. Can anyone advise on what is going on here???
Thanks

I think "wish it" is the culprit 99 percent of the time...

Ebay's Artificial Intelligence is so incredibly stupid.
"Just wish it had been easier."
What a shame that ebay allows these attacks and false accusations on its members.

What "attacks and false accusations on its members"?
The fact that the OP expressed his wishes about his purchase?
Or the fact that the bots flagged his feedback?
Or what?

The fact that ebay irrationally and falsely (accusation) "scolded" the user for profanity that doesn't exist and preventing the user from leaving legitimate feedback of their choice that doesn't violate ebay's rules.
The bots are ebay, just as customer service that sometimes gives members false/erroneous/bad information are also ebay.
Not like ebay's is going to do anything against the member, but nonetheless it's a flaw and ebay will do nothing to correct their flaw, nor give the user an honest explanation to ease their puzzlement.
I see these types of complaints all the time.
On a seriousness scale of 1-10, it's a 1.
Nobody likes being told that they are doing things which they aren't doing.

I understand it being flagged to prevent juvenile posting of profanity, but agree that it would be nice if they could train the bots to see spaces.
They can not train the bots to see spaces, but continue allowing the word ass, ass, ass, ass when it is used in in a derogatory manner.

The bots purposefully ignore spaces. This is done to prevent immature users from getting around the filters by adding spaces between letters to post d i s a l l o w e d w o r d s.
eBay would do better to exclude just the actual disallowed words, plus a few specific variations of the words (including those with spaces or periods between each letter) rather than simply ignoring spaces altogether.
As it is, immature users can still get around the filters by simply altering the spelling of the disallowed word slightly, and the filters primarily serve to annoy users posting totally innocent comments.
